Check engine light, code P0340

This morning my Pathy died twice within a block of my house as I was coming home. No misfire, no rough idle... just quietly died. Started right back up both times. 20 minutes later I am on my way to meet my parents for breakfast, I get about 5 miles from my house and the check engine light comes on,...

The coils are pretty much either working or not. If you had any that were faulty, you would get a misfire code.

Give a report on changing your plugs. I did mine about 25,000 miles ago.

Re: Sulliman

Only problem Iam having is there is not much more that I can do no aftermarket exhaust or supercharger yet There wasnt much available for exhaust systems for the V6 models either. Seems like most, including myself, have had the best exhaust results by replacing the muffler and having an exhaust sho...

Build quality, build quality, build quality... I just dont get it. For every person that complains about Nissan build quality, you will find just as many unhappy with Toyota. Same goes with Ford & Chevy... VW & BMW... Hell I even knew a person one time who bragged about how much better built...

Some of the base model Xterra's have 16" steel wheels. A local couple that own an Xterra bought my 16" Factory alloys from me off of Craigslist to upgrade their steel wheels.

Check out the NAV, GPS, Audio, Electronics, section. There are a few posts in there of double-din installs. The install is pretty basic. Find a double din that has the features you are interested in and just make sure you get the install and wiring kits too.

BTW: any bigger increases with the blue colored one? :) huh? :? I think he is wondering the same thing as I am... do the different colors represent different gains? Or are they available in different colors for aesthetic reasons? If the differrent colors are just for looks, how visible is it once i...

Done! It wasnt too bad. Took me about 3 hours with the use of a shop lift. No special tools needed, just some patience. Btw, the link to the service manual was VERY helpful. Here are a few tips for anyone willing to do this themselves... 1. Have your tank as empty as possible. I think I had about 3 ...

Tonight is my turn, I bought the new sender from the Dealer last week. I have had the sender problem since last November, enough is enough. I will update tomorrow on the ease/ difficulty of the job.

You might think about putting on a swaybar from the V8 model. I dont know if there would be a noticeable difference though. Supposedly the V6 front bar is 33 mm and the V8 is 34 mm.

The whistly noise, I think it is wind noise. Sounds like wind getting thru a seal or weatherstrip.

The solid rear axle must be an off-road thing. I love the IRS on the Pathy! I agree with the 3rd row seat storage idea. I never use my 3rd row. The only time I fold it up is to vacuum and the 3rd row still has that new-car smell! :)

It is very easy. You dont have to disconnect the battery. Unplug it, unscrew it, put in the new one. There is enough room to get to it that there arent any special instructions.
I dont know how tight to tighten it though. I tightened mine til I was comfortable with it not leaking or getting loose.
