I cant see the pics in this thread, but sounds similar to my problem. Today I changed out the rocker cover gaskets. I must have hit the hose on the passenger side going up and through the firewall. It snapped off flush. I have seen threads where people have replaced this with a barbed plastic connec...

can I use something like Valvoline Maxlift ATF to top off my power steering fluid? Or use it to do a drain and fill?

I join this club as well..have two R51 vehicles...same has happened.

overflow shows perfect level...radiator was low..heat and air worked..temp gauge was as always...

When I did mine, it took awhile and then I did more burping a few days later when engine was cool and both caps off. I also replaced hoses and thermostat.

Not sure on the caps, but if I got new ones, I would get the original Nissan OEM ones.

2008 Frontier with the VQ40 engine

Seeing a small oil leak on top of the driver side rocker cover. It seems to be leaking at the front of the cover and running down the cover below the spark plugs

Could it be front the gasket, the variable valve solenoid gasket or spark plug tube?

I changed the hoses and thermostat on my 06 PF this summer..almost waited too long as the thermostat hose end had a crusty buildup of coolant. Suprised my hose didnt come off.

It is a pretty easy job to do.

I totally neglected mine...then I had to take off the blower motor to remove the acorns that fell in and rattled around.

I ordered one for my Toyota Tacoma 62k miles...had half a leafbag full of stuff to get out...

Ordered two more and will put these on the every 15-20k interval.

mine looks like it would be leaking from hose 49717m as fluid is on PS pulley and dripped down below to altenator; maybe right where it connects to the pump.
