Re: Rocker rust

It looks like their Metal Prep product is like a paint primer. Neutralizes surface rust and etches bare metal(acidic???) leaving behind a zinc phosphate coating so the final rust prevention coating will adhere to the rust area. It looks like the Metal Prep product is the most important part of their...

Re: Rocker rust

Sorry, I haven't been responding here as much as I use to. Just been quick popping in and out of all the forums I frequent lately with house projects going on since the weather is warming up now. I would definitely go with the wire wheel or sand blast and the goal is to take it to bare metal in and ...

Yes, as far as I know, DT will inspect your tires and they'll work with you on what the best course of action is.

Re: Any/Max Lift with Bilstein 4600 Shocks?

The Pathfinder actually does not have a center locking diff in any of their models. The 4runners have it in certain models. Doesn't mean that the R51 isn't any less capable though.

Re: Couple of thoughts on the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015

Other forums seem to confirm that they've bought tires from other places and have taken it to Discount Tires and still had their tires prorated for a new set due to defects or whatever. Maybe each Discount Tires store does it at their discretion perhaps? Not sure if they're franchises or if they're ...

Re: Maintenance on 2012 with 200k miles prior to long trip

I think you've basically covered it all other than double checking your fluids before leaving. You may want to check if your AC is working as I'm not sure how far west you're going, but here in Southern CA we're already in the low 90s starting today. Inspect your tires, air pressure, and spare tire....

Found out previous owner did a rear diff breather extension already.
So I will not have to hassle with it : )

The driver's seat left cushion I had restuffed yesterday by an automotive upholstery shop.
Show some pics of that diff breather extension when you get a chance

Re: Couple of thoughts on the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015

Thanks for all your updates. Maybe try going to Discount Tires to see if you can swap those tires for a set of good ones that can pass a road force balance? I think they have some sort of prorate service? Not sure how that works as I've personally never used it myself.

Looks great man.

What's your front caster? That could affect your steering.

Re: Stepping up to 35s

Nice, I saw your thread on CF. Let us know how it turns out. My goal is to go 35" tires too in a couple years, it may come sooner, as my factory 18" wheels are corroded from years of salt/rust so I may downsize to 17" wheels with 35" tires. I've already had to trim my front fende...

Re: Advice needed please

Best wishes and thanks for coming back for the updates. Kia/Hyundai has come a long way since the 90s and early 2000s. I sold my problem-free 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo two years ago to buy my wife her 2015 Toyota Sienna and I still miss that Veloster. Other than their crappy resale value, they're ...

Re: Cannot program key (2008 LE)

You're best off reaching out to the business to confirm. I don't see why not though as the link I supplied is specifically for the R51.

Re: Cannot program key (2008 LE)

I've used the site below to rent their device to program my keys for my wife's Toyota Sienna and will be doing the same for my Pathfinder soon:
