Re: Why not Frontier Shock on R51?

Since you're referencing to springs and shocks/struts. I'm going to assume you're talking about the front here. There is no difference between the Frontier, Pathfinder, or Xterra when it comes to the front suspension. They're all the same and all interchangeable. I don't own a Frontier to know what ...

Update us on which you ended up using for calipers. I'll be painting my new calipers some time this spring as well.

Re: Rear lift kit help

No writeups that I've seen, but a few videos on youtube though. It's called a rear subframe drop. Square tubing between the frame and the rear subframe to add "lift". Don't forget to by extended rear brake lines when you do that.

I went with the Audio R8 coil packs route. Waiting for a good day to do that. Aiming this coming Saturday.

Re: Pre-lift advice please

The adjustable bushings or the CJD Racing gussets should work.

4x4parts recently screwed me on a large purchase so I won't be recommending them to anyone anymore though.

Re: Nissan Xterra Coming Back

No, knowing Nissan though. They're always late to the party with a half-ass product and then they blame consumers that no one wanted "it" so they discontinued after 5 years. If in fact true, they really need to step up their game and go after the Bronco.

Re: Tires - an unfair and biased evaluation

The Coopers will perform best in snow based on those little extra siping compared to the rest of the tires posted on here.

Re: Off Road Performance Comparison

That's the same type of terrain I wheel my Pathy in. What you saw in that video is factual. The closest competitor in that group would be the Pajero(Montero here in North America) since it has independent suspension also. The Jeep Grand Cherokee also has independent suspension, but I think they come...

Re: 2012 R51 Suspension Upgrade Needed! Any tips?

I've heard a ton of great feedback on the Ironman Foam Cell lift kit for the R51. Perfect time to save some money right now too as Ironman has a 25% off deal going on right now throughout their website. Looks like the Foam Cell kit even comes with a pair of recovery boards for free. I personally hav...

Re: V8 Brake Upgrade

As far as I know, the 370z calipers won't work. You need some sort of adapter iirc. There was a guy on the Xterra or Frontier forum that made some sets, but don't think many people jumped on it so he stopped making them. I've been eyeing the Z1 offroad brake upgrade which seems to be what the gentle...

Re: caliper manufacturer

No advice for which caliper is the best bang for the buck. I did replace my worn out calipers on my 2008 with some AC Delco and it's been working fine. I like AC Delco because half or majority of the parts I've bought from them seem to either be made in the USA or Japan. I've gotten a few offshoots ...

Re: Steering feels terrible

Sounds like your issue is steering rack related to me too. Have you confirmed that when you're parked on the driveway or gravel somewhere, you turn your steering wheel in either direction and your tires are responding immediately also? Hopefully you can get your steering column and rack aligned agai...

I think it may be the only option for the 2008+ due to the hvac connection to the head unit.

According to seller, wireless Carplay and Android Auto.

Re: Headers for V8

Typical "excuse" will be that the flange is another place where your exhaust can leak and/or that "they" don't make gaskets for it anymore or they couldn't find any that will work. I see that as incompetence and lack of communication on their part which leads to bad customer serv...
