Might not hurt to change out the radiator and/or tank if they're original, but only because plastic eventually gets brittle. In a well-maintained system with no sign of corrosion, embrittled plastic and rubber are the only real worries.

How would I go about diagnosing if an issue exists or not ? If you look at the chart on EC-44, the only thing that should ever make that fan run at top speed is coolant temperature above 221F. Fuji, Nihon and Aisin all make 'stats for Nissan. Dunno specifically who makes the Pathy 'stats, but Aisin makes a good product and I wouldn't be afraid of it.

Get a short seatbelt extender and plug your belt into that. Yep, that's the IPDM. I guess it's possible he could have disconnected the A/C Pressure sensor, I don't think there are any codes for that. It can't be the engine temp sensor (ECT), you'd be seeing that on the dash plus getting a lit MIL.
