Might not hurt to change out the radiator and/or tank if they're original, but only because plastic eventually gets brittle. In a well-maintained system with no sign of corrosion, embrittled plastic and rubber are the only real worries.
Thanks. I’ll look into procedures to perform the ipdm self test. I recall seeing it on the web before but didn’t take note. Will high and low be performed or high low and medium speed for the fan ? I’m assuming the ipdm test can be done when coolant is still hot ? The fan only has high/low, no medi...
How would I go about diagnosing if an issue exists or not ? If you look at the chart on EC-44, the only thing that should ever make that fan run at top speed is coolant temperature above 221F. If your gauge is showing lower then there has to be a bad gauge, a problem with the temperature signal on ...
Could it be Aisin?
I thought they made the OEM waterpump, could be wrong.
I know for a fact its NOT Motorad
Fuji, Nihon and Aisin all make 'stats for Nissan. Dunno specifically who makes the Pathy 'stats, but Aisin makes a good product and I wouldn't be afraid of it.
Get a short seatbelt extender and plug your belt into that. If you raise the belt slider on the B-pillar by a corresponding amount, you shouldn't have a slack problem and the chime will never sound. https://www.cesdeals.com/products/car-seat-safety-belt-buckle-extension-extender-clip-alarm-stopper-u...
Yep, that's the IPDM. I guess it's possible he could have disconnected the A/C Pressure sensor, I don't think there are any codes for that. It can't be the engine temp sensor (ECT), you'd be seeing that on the dash plus getting a lit MIL.
The IPDM will be under the cover of a larger box all the way in the passenger rear of the engine compartment, next to the ECM. It looks like a fusebox, but there's actually smartwork inside it. There will be a small fuse-and-relay array in front of it under the same cover. I'm pretty sure the '09's ...
Your main fan will be mechanical, but if the clutch is seized the fan will roar all the time. The condenser fan should only run under certain conditions, you can see the parameters on EC-44 here: https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual?fsm=Pathfinder%2F2009%2FEC.pdf If it doesn't run all the time bu...
No, day/night generally means a regular mirror with a mechanical day/night mechanism. They call the automatic function in Homelink mirrors "Anti-Dazzling".
I guess that's is indeed a basic rear view mirror then? Is it easy to retrofit one perhaps. ? Virtually all Nissan Homelink mirrors only require power and ground to work. Some of them have other functionalities like outside temperature, but they'll all dim normally and work the garage door even if ...
Forgot to ask, any recommendations on something not duct tape like to temporarily seal the sunroof until I get time to look into it further? thanks 3M Extreme Sealing, 4412N. Sticks well to painted surfaces and removes fairly easily with industrial adhesive removers: https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d...
The rear drains on R51's are funky, they kind of went out of their way to make them a PITA. You can see the routing here on page RF-56: https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual?fsm=Pathfinder%2F2009%2FRF.pdf Drains almost always clog at the bottom, and with all the turns the R51 rears make, blowing i...
