The radiator assembly itself is identical between 2005-2010. I called Courtesy Parts early in the year, and they knew of no change in the radiator along the way. If Nissan made a change in the materials, they didn't seem to tell anyone. I'd love to think that they'd fixed the problem, but my '08 was...

Do you think they'd let you hook it up and take it for a spin?

dwoodward - My wife thinks its the perfect size, too. She "commandeered" it as her daily driver soon after we bought it. The PF is a good tow vehicle. The cooling system is up to the task, but make sure you look into the radiator cooler bypass. After the bypass, a 2nd external tranny coole...

The wet carpet sounds like the drain hose. I'm surpised because I tried to run a wire thorugh there, and found it to be so crazy well sealed, I had to look elsewhere. Maybe someone kicked it and it is disconnected or something is clogging the line. I haven't messed with the new drive by wire throttl...

600/6000 is with a weight distributing hitch. 500/5000 dead weight capacity. Remember that the Gross Combined Weight Rating is 11,113lbs. and the PF GVWR is 6,113(at least on my '08 V6). This means that to tow 6,000lbs, the vehicle has to be fairly empty. If you load up the PF to the gills, the tow ...

I looked at the 4-Runner before buying the Pathfinder and remember thinking of what pussy would drive one. Now I know.

I haven't really understood the gaps in the dates on the recall. I'm sure all the older R51's are affected. They replaced mine, and mine wasn't even malfunctioning.

Welcome to the board, Wedge.

Has anyone made the switch on an '08+? The piping is different on mine and it's not plug and play. Just curious if anyone has throught through this and/or has ideas. I got under mine to make the switch and found the piping totally different and left it alone for now. If I'm the first....I guess I'l...

When the Titan came out, Nissan explained that, due to the extra low 1st gear of our 5 speed automatic, the 2.94 gears are equivalent to 3.73 gears with a 4 speed automatic and the 3.36 gears are equivalent to 4.10's. This is along the lines of what Skinny was saying above.

1. Using a tire calculator on Miata.net, the difference between the diameters 1". Having a matching spare has come in very handy on long road trips. The PF is very capable right out of the box. Pretty much the most slippery conditions we have ever been in were with the stock General Grabbers, w...

That's what I found when I changed mine @15k. The black goo is still metal, just very small and mixed with gear oil. There was much less when I changed it @ 30k. I think I'm going to keep the rear diff on a 15k schedule as it is so easy to do and we do a bit of towing.

There's typically a bearing there. However, when these and the other t-case bearings wear, they tend to create a lot of backlash instead of vibrations. You notice it when you get on an off the gas and get a big "CLUNK". At least that's my experience. Get under there and with both hands, gr...

The PF is an excellent road trip vehicle. I see in trip #1 that you may go through Yellowstone. We'll be there next month. We'll be towing a tent trailer and we have no off-roading planned anywhere on the route. At least get yourself some of the factory skids. They are thin but better than nothing....

"set the toe, collect the dough" I've heard "set the toe and let it go", but that's from the owner's side. Straight axle and twin I beam owner's tend to say it, and I've had both. I've 8 sets of BFG ATs over the years and no vehicle has worn them worse than the PF. Even my twin ...
