front cam bolt install

after putting the ranchos in on the front, it finally put my camber and caster out of spec. big o tires wanted ~$275 to install the 4 bolts themselves. that being a little ludicrous i did it myself. order the cam bolt kit from prg. install took about 30-45 minutes for all 4 bolts (2 per side). used ...

hydro - i see you have extra lights and stuff on your vehicle...any chance you have aftermarket electronics in your vehicle? wondering if maybe they're getting through a widened grommet in the FW or something? i know i removed my 3rd row seats but didn't put the bolts back in. some of those bolts ar...

i somewhat had the same thing happen to me, but i have a cordless impact i use and it spun it quick enough for it to grab. i also have a very similar problem when disconnecting my front sway bars on my jeep when offroading. apparently those bolts need a little bit of pressure on them in order to sto...

personally i think the rear springs are complete crap. i changed mine out with the 4x4parts 2in lift springs and am pretty happy, especially when coupled with the airlift 1000. night and day difference in handling.

those medium duty rear springs will "help" with sag, but not alot. the best bang for the buck on dealing with sag when loading down the back is the airlift 1000. if you're doing the 4x4parts rear springs, i think those give you 2in of lift (mine settled to 1.5in though) so if you do that p...

iirc, it's two X 2.5 in and one 2.5 out for factory (or at least on my v8 it's two in, one out).

however the magnaflow that i got was two X 2.25in in and one 2.5in out. i didn't really care as the reduction was pretty much right at the muffler.

eh, i'm not really worried about the steering right after, it's ~2mi to the tire shop with speed limits not exceeding ~40mph... but it looks like i won't get to this until after christmas, hoping before new years. had some work issues run alot longer than i though this morning so i didn't get to it ...

damnit, should have started this earlier!

we already got ours. however since we couldn't get a really tall tree (we only have like 8ft ceilings) i was able to fit the ~6ft tree INSIDE the pathy, so i didn't have to worry about losing needles to wind coming back down from the mountains. :)

there's only two things you -really- need to worry about with the non-bose system: 1. like smj999smj said, that the speakers are 4ohm. 2. try to get the highest dB sensitivity you can. this number is basically how efficient the speaker is at converting the available wattage to the sound you hear. th...

installing adjustable front alignment bolts

so my camber is -1+ degree off in each tire in the front. don't remember it being that bad when i had the bilsteins @1.5in, but since going to the rancho @2in it's at that now. the alignment guy said that while i wouldn't -have- to do it, he suggested i get the adjustable bolts for the front suspens...

Wow.. what a nightmare. Sorry man. But you know your noise is somewhere else, and hopefully the ability to make adjustments will be worth the change? The change-out photos are great. thanks. and yeah i'm still good with the ranchos. i mean i was already "eh" with the bilsteins (i mean WAY...

yup, the original bilsteins are apparently not bad, since i still hear the sound after changing over to the ranchos..

SOLD: bilstein 5100 height adj front struts + oem coils

thought i had a problem with my bilsteins, but seems like it's something else. I was getting a noise from the passenger side front wheel well, and it sounded like the strut was going out. so i replaced these with the rancho quicklift coil overs, and the sound is still there (so obviously it wasn't t...

Hi Governor, do you have any pics of this system installed on your old rig? Trying to wrap my head around how you solved the heat issue. Thanks judging by where that extra tube is, it's sucking air from inbetween the radiator and drivers side headlight. i know there's a slight gap through that stuf...

the fronts aren't hard at all. i think it took me about 2 hours? 30 min of that was getting all my tools together, and then i also accidentally re-used the top strut bolts on one side, so i had to take it apart again....but don't forget you'll need to get it aligned after. and now i -do- need the fr...
