Since I just did this two days ago, I can tell you some things that I would do if I did it again tomorrow. Break and remove the bottom bolt first. Make sure you have a jack under the lower control arm, and when you remove the bolt let the control arm extend down completely. This opens up a lot more ...

I have 58K on mine, but the ride has been less than spectacular since I bought it at 28K miles. The small bump compliance at speed and highway ride with the rear Bilsteins is much, much better. It no longer feels out of control or like a brick, especially driving into fast corners like on and off ra...

Rear shock installation question

I replaced my OEM rear shocks today with Bilsteins. I've only ever replaced motorcycle suspension components, so maybe this is normal but I felt like I had to push the ends of the shocks quite a bit more than I should to get them in the mounts. Not a whole lot, maybe a few millimeters of deflection,...

Mine was broken when I received the truck. It's a $20-ish part and easy to replace. Pull the old one out and off the plastic tube for washer fluid, push the new one into the tube, push the nozzle back into the top of the rear hatch. I thought about just not replacing it for a while, but if the nozzl...

The difference between premium and regular is about $23 a month for the average driver with a Pathfinder. Everyone has a different situation, but that's not a big enough cost delta for me to heavily influence my decision. Between mileage and the engine dialing itself back I can tell a little differe...

Power Intake Valve

After yet more forum deep-diving, I managed to find references to the power intake valve. My truck is rattling at a slightly different RPM (2700) but it sounds like this could be it. I can't find a reference to it quickly in the service manual. Is this a DIY-capable inspection and repair? Obviously ...

I'm very happy with how my Michelin LTX MS/2's handled last year's snow. They handled pretty much everything and they won't kill your mileage.

Seem to be the perennial favorite tire here too...

Terrific news! I'm assuming this is for the US as well?

Didn't kill my transmission, but I did recently donate over $2K to Nissan due to a failed radiator.

Rattle behind the dash

Okay, I have a rattle somewhere in the dash of my '05 that's successfully eluded all of my attempts to identify and fix it for over a year. At around 2700 RPM I hit the natural frequency of whatever it is and it comes alive. I've replaced the brackets holding the brake line along the upper firewall ...

Yeah, but the stock beams are maybe the worst of any vehicle I've had.

Does the hi/low kit do high and low beams properly?

I just went through something like this with my used '05 SE. I had a bad low frequency vibration and rumbling that started at 60mph and got worse as speed increased. Wheel balance didn't work. Found play in a front U joint and had Nissan replace it. Still had the rumbling, so I took it back. Tires w...
