The intermittent 4WD sounds like a grounding problem to me or possible corroded wiring.. but that's just an electrician's view. keep us updated, thanks for passing all the knowledge.

Smart if I'm getting this correctly, your vehicle has for wheel drive. If touts the case you have to change your front and rear diff fluids.if you only have rear wheel drive then just the rear. Just because you don't use the 4h or 4l does not mean you don't have to change it

I might have read it wrong but I was surprised by that number too. I'll check the papers I got from my dealership. It seemed kind of odds to me too. I'll double check and let you guts know later. Maybe mine was a special case though? Cause when I bought my path the radiator looked brand new.

If it hasn't your tranny should be fine if you do the full flush and bypass the radiator. Well I'm trying to say is that there isn't planning ahead but...

We weren't rude we just gave you the facts. No one can afford a 5k tranny but that's what savings are for right? Or if possible use your credit to secure a low interest rate loan.

No idea about a complete rebuild kit but I know nissan dealerships won't open up a transmission if the transmission us fried they usually just put a new one in. you might be able to find something at courtesy nissan parts though.good luck

The whole sealed unit may have been referring to the trans filters. For the 06 I believe the outlet for the at is on the driver side rather than he pass on my 08.

AS Long as you clamp the hoses with a vice you shouldn't have to add any fluid to it. The external cooler should bert more than enough if you don't do too much driving with a load. The bypass is slightly different on the 08 and up models. If you need more info feel free to ask away. As for which met...
