I'm glad it worked out for you. You rarely hear of success stories on things like this. The fuel sender, transmission/radiator, and cat problems are well know to happen after the warranty has lapsed and Nissan won't do squat about it except extend the warranty a few thousand miles. They know these a...

Check out my post in this same section about my recent experiences with this issue. I just bought mine and it has 119000 on it so warranty coverage is a fantasy. If you follow my advice and perform the bypass AS WELL AS a fluid exchange, you may be able to save your trasnmission! I'm still waiting ...

Yeah it's been hard and makes me wonder if I should cut my losses and sell the thing. I have a 2006 that has 104,000 miles on it and in the 3 months that I've owned it I have had to: - Replace tire pressure sensors (now the light is back on) - Replace EVAP control valve - Replace EVAP canister - Re...

just search for the P0463, you'll find TONS....including at least a couple how-to's. The front "02" on R51's isn't an 02, it's an A/F sensor, which works on completely different voltages than the conventional 02. As long as you don't mess with the primary cat between the a/f and rear 02, ...

I missed the boat on the radiator recall extension to 8yr/80k as well. There's the possibility due to a defective radiator design that antifreeze/coolant will mix with transmission fluid. The transmission fluid line passes through the radiator for cooling purposes. I'm hoping I'm not too late to do...

I loved mine from 50k when I bought it to 85k when I started having problems. First the fuel sending unit. Nissan had extended the warranty to 72mo/72k on that I believe which was dumb considering many people only had it go bad after that mileage. The dealer told me it wasn't right of them to only g...

I don't know if the people that have gotten the P0430 have also gotten the P0420 at the same time and just not mentioned it since it's on the opposite side but that's exactly what happened to me. I have an '05 with 125k-ish miles. Check Engine light came on but I seem to be getting the same gas mile...

My sending unit just went at 76k...just a few weeks ago I threw away the letter for the 72k mile extended warranty since I was already over. Great timing. After Nissan quoting me ~$500, it was an easy decision to DIY with parts cost at $105. The service manual instructs you to remove the driveshaft...

Has anybody noticed this increasing with cooler weather? I wasn't noticing mine that often until 50-60 degree mornings and now it happens on most hills.
My fluid was a little low but adding fluid didn't help.

My dte started showing 0 miles at a quarter of a tank.

At least the level gauge is working...for now.

I forgot to mention the post I posted before this one. I don't know if you read it or not...basically mine did the same thing yours did but my battery went dead that night. After I jump started it the next morning I had the check engine light on, the dte was flashing and showed ----, the gauge showe...

After showing empty until the second turn of my switch, my gauge seems to have reset and is working now. Cross my fingers and hope it doesn't fail again.

Is it normal for that to happen if you run too low on gas quite a bit?

Could you move the relevant posts from my original thread to here? They don't really fit with the other thread you created.

My 2005 Pathfinder check engine light came on at about 80k miles and DTE of 20 miles. The code was the fuel level sender. After a refill and several starts, the check engine light went off only to reappear a few times later and the DTE flashed ---- but then later showed mileage again. Last night aft...
