Very nice. I've replaced all control arms but still haven't got the handling back to when the car was younger. The steering rack bushings are the only other part I can think of that might be the culprit. Now I'll give them a try.

Nope, no issues and I abuse the heck out of it. I drive like a teenager.

Somebody on the Frontier forum tried and confirmed they won't fit under the 16" wheels.

When the U-joints were replaced - the shop could have accidentally flipped one of the the flanges 180 degrees. That could have upset the balance.
But yeah, a driveshaft shop can sort it out.

When you put the new bolts in slather them with grease! It will keep them from rusting in place again.

Re: fluid drained - added pics

How does this used fluid look? That oil looks fine. The gunk on the plug is fine too. I pulled four differentials last month and my rear plug had way more metal on it, the other three (two fronts and one rear) were on par with your plug and your oil. The symptoms sound exactly like a driveshaft tha...

Just thought of this - the sway bar bushings are notorious for getting sloppy.

Yup still here. I recently posted some stuff about brakes and gears. I sanded the factory clearcoat (powedercoat?) just enough to flatten the surface and make a good key. I think I used 220 grit. Chips in the clear were filled with 5 minute epoxy and sanded smooth - epoxy paint is the only primer th...

Mine is LE model year 2010, but build date 9/09.
Cutover must have happened near the calendar year.

I got the 9416K148 @ 200lbs. These threads are fine and will NOT match the stock ends. So, I also ordered QTY 4 9416K76. 15 minutes and works amazing! What year is your car? I just put these springs on my 2010 and the threads matched. From reading previous posts I thought all years required new rod...

Even better - we were camping last weekend and I got to compare regular light bars to El Jefe. These are cell phone shots but I cropped and resized to get them framed the same: https://farm1.staticflickr.com/954/39896372200_a5f6e9638f_b.jpg Bunch of tricked out vehicles on a night climb https://farm...

Finished up the front last week. I found a 3.69 R180 from a 2006 Xterra for $399 at another salvage yard in Fontana. They included tax, so technically the price was about $360. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/977/41701306651_dc995b99d0_b.jpg Rinsed some rainwater and dust out of the side splines with...

About a year ago when I looked into this I went to NissanPartsDeal.com's site and compared the steering knuckle and wheel bearing hub's part numbers between the V8 & V6 Pathfinder and they were the same. Then, I found similar part numbers for the master cylinder between the two; the rear brakes...

In terms of the G35/G37 carrier being swappable (or the carrier from the rear of a Frontier with 3.69 for that matter) yes I believe it is. If I was changing the ratio to 4.083 I would have harvested just the carrier, but keeping the same ratio it made more sense to swap the diff intact and avoid th...
