First thing pull off the crap running boards if you have them. Invest in a "good" set of sliders. Also a decent set of tires, at least 6 ply for protection from rocks. If you can get a extra set of rims to mount them on, since you mileage will be crap because of the extra weight and rollin...

That's a nice rack and it doesn't really stand out like the Yakima's. That's a good thing. I know my wife would have a heart attack if she saw me drilling into the roof. I don't need anything like that right now, but when the boys get old enough to do some outdoor adventures, it's good to know.

Well I'll chime in here. I have about 60k on mine and have only had a few issues. The accelerator position sensor went at about 40k and the fuel gauge sender is on it's way out. I'm just waiting for the newer part to hit the dealer, rather than installing one that will die in 30k. Only thing i wish ...

I'm guessing you checked around the oil pressure sensor? Is the antifreeze clean? Only thing that is coming to mind is valve seals. You will only see smoke at start up briefly if they are going bad. You should have this post in the wd21 pathfinder forum. Then you might get a little more help.

Well i think there are 2 cam position sensors. So it's best to replace both, because figuring out which one it might be is not worth the time. Are you getting any codes, because something should have popped up as soon as it happened. I would get the crankshaft sensor while your at it, since it wears...

Check the manual for the camshaft position sensor. It will do weird things like make it stall and start right back up. The crankshaft sensor will either not let you start or if the cam shaft sensor is going bad and stalling it out, it won't just start back up. Are your problems happening during humi...

Got the Bosch for the Pathy over a year ago and they are still holding up well. I had tried the cheapo look a likes on my old car and they were toast within 6 months. The Bosch are definitely worth the price.

I wouldn't think it's supposed to do that, especially on a flat road. I think the cruise control is working correctly, but there may be something with the tuning of the engine. Have you done any maintenance to it yet? Maybe change the plugs check the transmission oil to see that it's full. Check tha...

Does it happen on fairly flat roads or just in hilly situations?

When you had it up on the jack, did you check for play in the wheels? Maybe the bearings are on their way out. Usually they start making noise though. I can't really think of anything else right now.

how many miles are on the pathy? Sounds like shocks are shot. Also check the sway bar connections. Something is definitely not right, although jerking motions aren't the best way to keep the truck stable.
