Followup to my question it definitely was the squeeller tab. I was wondering if there should've been 2. One for each side. As for the total brake job. Ordering the rotors and pads should be all you need. After pulling my wheels the rears were fine so I only replaced the front pads only. Rotors were ...

Rear brake pads - question

Going to change the rear (and front) pads. Just opened the pack for the rears and one of the pads has a protruding metal clip from the back side. Is this something that is needed for the parking brake?

Don't want to pull it all apart to find out my pads are wrong.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll have to print out what I need. Saw the eBay CDs and manuals on here before I posted but really wanted a quick guide in the garage.

I'll just print out what I need.

The reality is having a hard copy available when/where I need it is useful. Do you know the manual part numbers?

Did a few searches and can't seem to find a Haynes or chiltons manual for my 06 pathfinder. Does one exist?

I absolutely need to replace mine (2006). I've banged my head a half dozen times in the last week. It used to stay if I pushed the batch up but now that it's cold it just falls down. If anyone finds a better non oem option please post it up. Thanks in advance

P0442 code

Other than the gas cap is there anything else that typically causes this fault? Code popped up while driving -40mph and 20 miles left in the tank.

Also will the code clear itself if the gas cap is replaced or tightened correctly?

temps / bypass history

So I'm convinced the bypass is necessary, but still wonder about the need for an additional cooler? Has anyone tracked the temps? before and after? If not can a thread be setup to list: mileage - date of bypass - type of driving. (towing/stop-n-go, etc) This thread should not be for questions, but j...

Not sure if the pic will carry through, but considerably freaked out enough to complete the bypass. 2 questions. Do you disconnect the raditor hose on the driver side radiator connection and attach it to the connection midwayup on the passenger side. Then reroute the shorter hose to close the loop o...

Re: Power Seat Automatic Adjust disable

THIS WORKED! Why in the world couldn't they put this in the manual. At Any rate.. thank you. I disabled he entry/exit function on my '06 LE when it was a couple months old. I guarantee nothing. I thought I posted this in this forum a couple years back, but I can't find it. I also thought I had this ...
