Mine Broke too, but when I brought it to the dealer they covered it even though I was out of warranty. They were able to get just the latch and replace that.

I wonder how well it lasts in the colder areas and if it holds up to all the salt we have here in the winter. I think it said it lasts about 5 years, so what keeps it from peeling on the edges for that long?

I got most of my stuff for my 94 from 4x4parts.com, but I guess it depends what you are planning on doing with it. Mine was a 5 speed too, I still wish I had it.
