Re: Heated Steering Wheel

Hi all, I just bought a 2008 LE that has a heated steering wheel...when using it, after about 10-15 minutes it seems the intensity of the heat fades away then comes back a few minutes later...is this normal? It seems like it gets rather warm, then fades away (to stop from over heating?) then return...

I've been quoting people $150 finished out and shipped for one that accomodates four lights (36" wide) and $125 for two lights (26" wide). Also, did you see the one I put on my Pathy? It is more like the Westin you were looking at. Let me know if you are interested. I am still working on ...

This might sound like a silly solution, but when I installed my Airlift 1000 Kit, while it was still on the jacks and not under load, in inflated it and then set it down and I had like a 2" lift. I let some air out and it setteled down to about an inch....

FWIW.

I was going to powder coat mine. (that was until my wife said she didn't want/need one :( ) She did mention chroming it though... Our pathy is blue and i thought a textured black (what we have here at work) would have looked neat on it. I dont think you should paint it the same color as the car.... ...

I bought an 08 LE V8 with everything except nav and DVD and I love it. The heated seats are great and the thing is a beast in the snow. I towed a 3K lb trailer with another 1800 lbs of cargo from Indiana to NC and it handled it like a champ. The only thing I would recommend if you tow is the Airlift...

Windows rolled down... ???

a couple weeks ago, we had went out to eat and were leaving when I hit the key fab to unlock the doors.... not sure what I did, but all 4 windows rolled down. My wife looked at me and asked why I rolled the windows down... I was about to answer her when I realized that the key was still in my hand a...

I'm set up with an appointment for 4 Firestone Destinations (although i think Im getting the LE). Had them on my old Explorer, they were fantastic in the snow. Keep me posted as to how they handle on the Pathy. The lady that put on the A/T's has a trailer blazer and wanted the A/T's over the LE bec...

This weekend was my first real snow test for our new Pathy. I couldn't be happier. I would like to upgrade the General tires, but for this winter they will do well enough. She is a dirty nasty beast in the snow and I love it. I don't even want to wash her right now cause she looks to beautifully na...

I have BFG Long Trail AT's that came on it when I bought it. They seem to do pretty well... They should last this winter, but I will need new ones next year. A lady that works for me just put on Firestone Destination A/T's and she had some good luck with them this weekend with snow. They look mean t...

Snow snow snow

Well we got a good bit of snow for this time of year in North East Indiana. My wife and I took the Pathy to go meet my parents for dinner yesterday and this is the first time I have got to drive it in the snow. I was very impressed! I had it in Auto and with the VCD and Antilock brakes, I had no pro...

I agree with the airlift 1000. cheap and easy and keeps the sag down. Here is a video I made of time lapse of the install. doesn't show much on the install itself, but it is reallllly straight forward. it does show some before and after pics. I cant get the damn thing to imbed, so here is the Link h...
