Wow that's a lot of miles for an R51. First one I've heard with over 200k. What year is yours?

Great work and nice write-up! I wonder if you could find a service manual for the V8 from a Titan or Armada manual.

I assuming you're just replacing the pads? It's a straighforward job. It's a good idea to check the caliper sliding pins and make sure they are well greased and slide easily. I had some very uneven brake pad wear because of this.

Yes if the rubber is deterioted you'll need a new pulley.

The crank pulley could be loose. I had that problem after I had the secondary timing chain and guides replaced. The crank pulley bolt wasn't tightened to spec. Take a good look at the crank pulley itself. There's a chance the rubber that is between the inner and outer metal portions has deteriorated...

The external transmission cooler has been on Pathfinder's for awhile. My 05 came with one. I don't know if they are standard on all Pathfinders or just come with the tow package option. Congrats on the new ride. You must've bought one of the last R51 Pathfinders.

Be sure to keep all receipts if you pay to have the fuel level sensor replaced should Nissan decide to extend the recall to your Pathfinder. At first my 05 wasn't covered either but after I replaced the fuel sensor I got a letter from Nissan saying that I was covered. I was then reimbursed for the r...

Welcome! How many miles does yours have? If you're still under warranty I wouldn't be in a rush to bypass the radiator.

When my fuel level sensor went bad I did not have a check engine light or any error codes. Other than the fuel gauge, everything still worked correctly.

They should've done more than just give you a new oil cap. At least noticed it was missing before too late.

Good to know. I haven't had any trouble returning electrical parts to my local parts store (Advance). I returned a fuel pump there once. I'm curious as to why they sent you the wrong part. I thought with Courtesy there was a place to enter your VIN # when you place an order so as to ensure the corre...

The install isn't hard. I just rented a spring compressor from the local parts store and used my bench vise to hold the strut while i removed the spring. The strut is easy to remove from the vehicle. The only thing you have to remove to get to it is the way bar end link. Can't help you with the 5100...

Easy job. There's instructions located in the service manual located here http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=2305. However I would recommend using a U-joint press to make removing the old u-joints easier after being exposed to snow and road salt for years. Most local part stores have these...
