Sadly its beyond me as well.

1) was it really as bad as people seem to say?

2) Where the QX4s affected to the same degree ?

3) was there a model year of R50 from which onward the rust issue was IDed and addressed?

Always liked this generation of Pathfinder and there are many seeming good values out there... so...

Drove around again tonite. Was a joy with those lights.

I had a valve body ( and only valve body) replaced at the dealer 1 year ago on my Xterra ( same transmission and engine as your gen Pathy).

Was 2200 at dealer.
They thru in the tranny fluid for free ( I was a good customer)

Any idea what the fluid looked like? Checked u joints? Fluid is clean. Have not checked u joints. Would they cause issue in only "almost stopped" then acceleration and not starting from a full stop? Thanks for the help! Yes they could. Of course tranny could as well but based on your main...

PS: Just came back from a quick (22 miles) night time drive with these new upgraded Bulbs. Definitely noticeable more light and can see things better now. Makes nighttime driving more comfortable for me. The "100% more light" claim is believable to me based on today's subjective experience...

Finally received my Phillips extreme visions headlight Bulbs. Put them on both my Xterra and R51 Pathfinder. But on the Xterra I took a pic after putting only one to show the difference on the forum. They claim 100% more light than "normal" Halogen replacement Bulbs (Must get the X-treme V...

My Phillips were on the way but the package was stolen a couple weeks ago off my front porch.

Replacement shipment waiting for me at UPS store will pick it up tomorrow.

Havent forgotten about you guys , will update when the bulbs are in.

. So far, about 1/2 quart over 750 miles. . While this is more than these engines would normally do it still works out to 1 qt over 1500 miles. well within acceptable range by yesteryear standards. VQ37s were known for this issue when Nissan went with looser rings in the horsepower wars of the late...

Like the title says... It somehow seems easier to find lightly used struts for Xterra than Pathy . Maybe because more PPL replace those part for OffRoad. Either way when I look to replace my fronts I want to go with gently used forum units like I did w/ my Xterra and it was very economical. Thoughts?

My tech swears the hoses on both my Xterra and Pathy are "fine", but I worry. they are original and my XTerra is an 05....
