Re: replacing the fuel pump

I'm lookin to replace the fuel pump for my 2006 nissan pathfinder. I just want to know what tools I will need and that I hear this particular job isn't easy. It's a genuine chore! I did it on my 2005. The fuel tank has to be removed for access to the pump, and it's recommended to remove the ...

Thanks!
I just checked the other R51 (we have 2, i know, gluttons for punishment).
It had exactly the same levels as the other.
I topped them both off (radiators), and will monitor.
If I see repeat performance on either, I'll report back.
Thanks Again!

Coolant level...........

This morning, while checking fluid levels (cold), I noticed that the coolant level in the recovery tank was high (about 1 quart). Checking the fluid in the radiator, it was low (about 1 quart). There are no leaks, the heating system works normally, and there are no other symptoms of anything being w...

Just dropped off the truck with my mechanic. He was pretty insistent that the way to go is to add an external atf cooler kit, in front of the radiator. He said that the stock external cooler is "not enough", and since the kit is about $60, and his labor is very reasonable, I'm going with ...

I'd make darn sure the diagnosis is correct.
Is it guaranteed, or a guess on their part?

dealership diagnoses...........

In the last two days we have had two topics about ABS related problems. In both cases, the dealerships recommended replacing the ABS module. In both cases, the diagnosis may be incorrect (at least one was, the other is in question at this point). What have been your experiences after authorizing suc...

Re: ABS Actuator Assembly

So Nissan dealership told me my ABS Actuator Assembly is going, and a new one costs 2000 before installation. Does the 2008 Path LE/V8 share the same ABS AA with another model, maybe the Titan? I'm hoping I can get one cheaper from a parts store in case the dealership is trying to use the rarity of...

That’s the problem, I have no mats at all ! I never even had oem. I wouldn’t even mind oem but not for $100. So I just want a set of $25 mats but each one is it differently cut so who knows which will fit until you try it. you get what you pay for. my OEM mats are 13 years old, never shift posi...

Re: 2006 Pathfinder Nismo?

I’m looking at a 2006 Pathfinder with Nismo badging on the doors tomorrow. It has 126K miles and original owner. I’ve read a lot of bad things about the 2005-2007 pathfinders. The owner said he did the radiator bypass years ago and has all service records. Should I stay away or give it a chance...

my 2006 has done this before; usually when the battery was getting toward the end of it's life. I charged them some and it would do it again. Replaced battery and issue went away. I think I am on my third battery since I bought it new in 2006. Yep, we have 2 2005's, three batteries each since new, ...
