I did just pull a 420 and 430 catalytic code. I knew that was an issue but would that be the cause of the car shaking and not getting enough hp to get up and go? I got new plugs so I am going to swap out all 6 this weekend to check first. Should I get a new coil pack and try that too? I have 180k mi...

I was just looking at the 301. I am very torn on these things, it seems there are so many of them out there. I don’t know what I need in a scanner. I don’t want to waste money.
Would you still recommend this one, or for the same price range is there anything better?

I swapped the coil pack from cylinder 5 and cylinder 3.

I had the guys clear the codes and Codes came back. Not only did “cylinder 5 misfire “ come back, now “random cylinder misfire†as well !!

Wouldn’t that mean that the coil pack is fine? If so, what do I do now !

The old plug was bad. The center electrode was almost gone. I waited too long. But even after putting in the new plug it came back. I will google on how to test the coil pack. I did not have starting issues so I figured that the coil pack wouldn't be the issue, but im probably wrong. I just took it ...

What section would it be under in the service manual ? I found a couple diagnostics while searching but I don't think I found the right one. Is there an acronym that they use or what would it normally say ?

cyclinder misfire after

I had a cylinder misfire on cylinder 5 so I changed the plug yesterday. Before I had changed the plug, the pathfinder was shaking uncontrollably and very noticeable. The check engine light was on and then started blinking so luckily I was close to home and did not drive long. After I changed the cyl...

Ok so basically it’s normal and just old. I guess I need a new exhaust. Are there any better bolt on kits better than others? I found the BOSAL and Walker kits on Rockauto. Anyone have any thoughts on those two options? I had been leaning toward the Gibson catback, but for literally half the cost....

Hole in muffler - spitting out water ?

After changing the spark plugs today I had noticed a strong exhaust smell and realized I have two holes in my exhaust. One is on a seam just above the muffler. The other is on the back end of the muffler and water was spitting out of the pinhole. Very strange. What could be the reason for the water ...

Ok thanks. I picked up one LFR5AIX-11 so I can check the cyclinder.
A. Am I right that these plugs come pre gapped to .043 which is what is needed for the v6?
B. What is torque setting? Is 18lbs right?

Just pulled a misfire on cyclinder 5. I am going to test the plugs first.

Does anyone have a diagram showing which cylinders are which ? I got some conflicting information on google.

What style Fog lights ?

I have now purchased two sets of eBay LED lights for my fog lights and they have lasted a year max, each. My question is, what type of bulb do you use for maximum lighting , in the stock fog light ? Halogen, LED or HID ? And what brand/model do you recommend? I travel back roads and need better fog ...
