2008 SE Offroad wheel

Has anyone seen one of these yet? The web site calls it a "Machine cast aluminum wheel", and one of the photos looks as if the wheels may be non painted, and in a natural clear coated cast aluminum finish. I thought it looked sharp. The last two years' brochure's pics were heavily slanted ...

5200 mile Christmas Road Trip

Well we just got back from very long road trip in the Pathfinder - 5,240 miles in 9 days. Left Texas on a Friday night and proceeded to Washington state via OK, KS, WY, CO, UT, ID, OR. Then made the return trip through Montana to visit friends there, got caught in the blizzard that hit Colorado and ...

I've got 13k miles on a set of 265/75R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers, and have had them in all conditions and temperatures from 100s in Texas on the beach to -2 in Montana in snow storms and ice. Excellent tires, no noticeable wear at 13k miles, and they work really well in the snow and wet. I was very im...

Thanks for the info - I thought I remembered seeing it was over 200lbs. I wasn't worried about the combined weights of a 65 and 58 lb kayak and usually I just lash one down flat. The Pathfinder isn't wide enough to accomodate two of them that way (one is 29" wide, one is 32" and they are b...

Roof Rack load rating?

Heh all, I need to mount up a double kayak mount on the Pathfinder this weekend as we now have two yaks to haul around. I can't find the load rating in the owner's manual, and its had cross bar pads on for quite sometime that I am too lazy to remove in case there is a sticker under there. The only o...

Wheels are scarce for these. I saw some 17X8s on Discount Tire's website finally, but not sure if I like them enough to buy them. I just bought bigger 16" tires 1.5 months ago and hate to have to start over again unless the package is perfect. I checked again this morning and they have a design...

hmmm. I have heated seats, so I should just have one behind my panel then. I had given up on this as I called a local dealer and he though there was a different wiring harness between the OR and non-OR 4X4s (though he didn't sound certain). After reading this, I checked Courtesy Nissan and they show...

I noticed the same thing on our last two Tahoes. I just cleaned the spots up with some pink naval jelly, and then touched up the areas with semi gloss (closest match I could find out of a spray can to the enamel look of the hitch) black spray paint. I cut a a slit out of some paper that approximated...

I did the same thing on mine, right after the 265/75R16 tire swap. I didn't have a lift and it was still very easy. I was suprised at how reasonable the plates were, but also suprised how light duty they are. Still- worth the time and money. I agree the aftermarket will have lots of room for product...

Hill Descent Control Plug in?

I have a friend with a heavily modified (and supremely capable) Toyota Landcruiser he's had for years. This past weekend he was showing me some new additions and we got on the subject of North America vehicles vs those sold elsewhere. Case in point was that in Australia, there is a switch on the das...

We bought the Murano as a replacement for our 02 Tahoe Z71 (which was a replacement of an '00 Tahoe Z71,which replaced a Sierra Z71, which replaced one Jeep after another back in the day). My wife is an avid road cyclist, so we bought the Murano as a sporty, fuel efficient road bike and small family...

The Armada/Titan wheels will not fit the Pathfinder/Xterra/Frontier.

We have a smaller 6 lug on 4.5" than their 6 lug on 5.5". I think their is a backspacing difference as well.

Heh there - officially checking in!

Heh everyone - I'm very glad to find a current generation Pathfinder specific website. I was getting ready to create one myself as I too had not been able to find a dedicated site. I've just seen PF related forums on bigger sites with sporatic postings, sometimes with several days between new messag...
