ECM Recall

I just got a notice in the mail today that Nissan has issued a recall on our ECM modules, at least for my '06. That's the first I've heard about an issue with them. To be honest, though, I've slept thru the past three years, so nothing surprises me anymore. Has anybody else received this notice, or,...

I was curious where the probe was located on the vehicle because it is really affected by the heat off the engine at lower speeds. it's behind the grill, so it is sensing the temperature of the radiator area of the engine compartment, which will be hotter at low speeds due to less air flow when re-...

lots of options to go with. check tirerack.com, i prefer the michelins LTXs I second that. I just replaced Mich. Cross Terrains (got only 50% of warranted tread life) with LTX MS2's. They're one helluva lot stiffer! But, after 500 miles, I really like 'em as PF shoes. The thing rides like a real tr...

Re: Hard Leather Seat

Just bought the truck, love the looks and it drives nice, lots of power and room, but just can't get the driver seat right for comfort. It seems a bit hard as well. Truck had 25000 miles on it and is very clean, just not a real comfortable driver seat. It is a big turn off right now. Anybody else? ...

As I said, mine has worked flawlessly for four years. Sounds like there may be a hardware/software issue with the systems described in this thread. Yeah, the stealers are spendy, but it might be worth driving in to them to find out if they might have a clue. I've had auto climate control in every on...

Maybe I'm missing something, but why do you guys not use the "Auto" mode? It has worked flawlessly for me for four years ('cept when the fan speed control module went wonky).

gamerscloset - What year is your PF? I have an '06, and if your climate control system is the same as mine, it's operating normally. In "Auto" mode during cold weather, the system doesn't come on until the engine begins to warm, so that it blows warm air instead of cold. On mine, at least,...

Yeah, at 20k, my Cross Terrains were hardly worn at all. After that, though, they shed tread like a mangey dog.

Yea just got the Michelins LTX MS2 installed back in July for a road trip from toronto>Florida and man are those things godlike!! And working pretty great so far for winter! I just put on a set of these this week, replacing a set of Michelin Cross Terrains. Jeez, I like this tire! Same weight as th...

Service manual shows squeezing in the sides of the glove box to drop it to access the filter. Anyone had any difficulty doing this? It's almost like i squeeze it in as far as possible and its still not far enough. I'm scared I'm going to break something if I push any further. Any thoughts? I haven'...

Of course it will, because the PF only has a single "average" MPG display.

Re: 2006 Pathfinder transmission bypass

ok, first post for me. i just bought a 2006 pathfinder S and i'm now discovering this transmission/coolant issue. now if i do the bypass method does that mean the transmission no longer has a means for cooling? would i be better off adding an aftermarket transmission cooler? forgive me if this issu...

Thanks dude......also you purchase filter from dealer? or aftermarket? I've search briefly and can't find it yet, but someone posted a link to a place where you can buy them for less than $8 per filter. I bought several from there and they appear comparable to OEM to me. I'll see if I can find it l...

Assuming we all have, or had, the same problem, it's a simple fix. In February, I discovered that neither I, nor the auto AC system could control the blower. My dealer comp'd me on the repair, even though I was two weeks out of factory warranty. :P Problem was a shorted variable blower control modul...
