I went for 3 months with a bad fuel level sending unit and had no issues with the pump.

True but how much junk was in the truck bed or racks.

Of late, I let it go until the low fuel light comes on. I'm on my third sending unit and after the latest install, the low fuel light comes on earlier than before. The trip computer will say less that 25 miles left and I can only put 17.5 to 18 gallons in the tank. My first sending unit was replaced...

Supplier change, possibly using thinner pad to get you back to the dealer for brake job sooner,

Having replaced the fuel level sending unit twice (one in-warranty), that is definitely a bad sending unit. Supposedly, Nissan released a redesigned sending unit in the last couple of months. Search around here for more details. I went 4 months with a faulty sending unit this summer with the hopes o...

My 2 cents: 1.) With the current economic situation, automotive suppliers have been scaling back and halting production. 2.) Nissan may be hording supplies to keep any still operating manufacturing lines supplied. They definitely don't want to have a bunch of 90+% complete vehicles clogging the fact...

Nissan has issues with the fuel level sending unit (like cnpart1 stated). You will see errant readings on the fuel gauge. Right now, my fuel gauge is below E even though I just dropped 18 gallons into it. The fuel level sending unit problem, in and of itself, should not prevent the vehicle from star...

Hmmm, I almost always take the key out. I'm a slight security freak that way; I lock the doors in my driveway. Looking at Courtesy Nissan's parts site, the "PUMP COMPL - FUEL" assembly is $276. Unfortunately, it's an all-in-one unit with the pump, fuel level sensor, sending unit, etc. So, ...

It's back.

Resurrecting an old thread. Over the last few weeks, my erratic fuel gauge has returned. I was parked right front, nose down on my old house's (now rental unit) driveway while loading up junk, tools, etc. The fuel gauge was under 1/4 tank when I arrived at the rental. When I started the truck, the c...

Update

Garmin responded to my support email yesterday and is sending a replacement tip for the CLA. Returning the Nuvi 760 to Costco for replacement wasn't a good option. It was a limited quantity/time item and they don't have any more right now. I installed the dock tonight. It was a fairly simple install...
