the hardest part of replacing the U-joints is getting the bolts off. They are in a tight location and appear to be attached with red Loctite. After trying for 1/2 hour to get those bolts off I decided to replace the joints while the shaft was still in the truck. However, I should mention that I did ...

Finished installing the Volant today and what a PITA it was. They provide you with a little bracket (just a piece of metal) to relocate your horns. However, there are two problems with this: 1) there's no way the horns would fit in the area they claim 2) You won't be able to install the ram air scoo...

All that should be in the service manual. If cost is an issue, start with all the fluids and filters.

After that you can look at things like spark plugs, suspension, etc

Don't you guys have front license plates? I have an 2007 and the plate covers a good part of the area where the 2 center lights would go.

I guess I could just mount 2 vs. 4 lights

I recently had the Magnaflow installed as the OP. The difference on my PF is that the rear resonator was basically a mid-sized muffler so I decided to have it removed as well. When I went to pick it up, I wasn't too happy with the "raspy" tone of the exhaust. I was looking for something mo...

yes, the whole plastic unit comes out. there are three links in there so
I had to take the clear cover off then use a small pliers to pull out the plastic housing one side at a time.

just don't touch the pliers to any of the metal links

that's a fusible link. I shorted one out when my leg hit the trailer brake wire and it grounded out (the plug is taped now).

When mine blew I couldn't tell until I pulled the whole thing out.

The dealer sells the inserts (for a ridiculous price)

Just had a thought. Maybe if I install the H&R sport spring (which lowers) with a Rancho spacer and use Bilstein HD shocks I can achieve what I want

appreciate the link but that thread is more about lifting.

I really don;t want to lift the truck, just have stiffer springs and shocks, bit that option is hard to find
