As seems to be the trend -- I just had my drive shaft/ujoints/prop shafts replaced under the powertrain warrenty at 47500 miles.

I was getting a low bass sounding vibration between 42-50 mph...this fixed it.

Yeap, totally depends on what you plan to tow. I have 3 of them that I use as needed in mine.

Anyone do a brake job yet?

What pads/rotors did you go with?

I'm at 47K miles and figure it is about time. My back roads driving and boat towing have really done a number on my rotors. The pads still have some life left, but will be changed too while I'm in there.

Hey- Just had a 30k done on my 06 Pathy. It included an oil & filter change, change fluids in both diffs, trans fluid change, brake fluid flush, air filter & cabin fliters replaced & rotated tires. The dealer wanted $679.00 +taxes My independent shop charged me $490.00 + taxes. I'm at a...

I've found it's easier to just take the skid plate off to get to the filter then to use the little door. I just pop a 10mm head on my drill and buzz the bolts out in a few seconds. I just open the drain plug and have it start draining, then w/in 5 min I have the skid plate off and am ready to plug i...

It is higher then most trucks. My old Bronco used a 2.5" drop to keep the boat level, as does my father in law's Dodge. I have to use a 5.5" drop on the Pathfinder.

Tow strap that took about 20 min of folding to get to fit in there.

My '06 Pathfinder has lived outside of the garage about 1/2 it's life and has 45K miles on it. The paint looks good -- just keep it clean and hand wax it every so often. The only scratches I have are a couple of small ones up on the fender/hood that look like someone laid something on it (like someo...

I'm using what the manual calls for. I went with Nissan suggested grades of Mobil 1 in the rear and Valvoline in the front. Did that at 30K miles. I have 45K miles on my '06 now and tow a boat every weekend. No problems at all so far.

We tow a boat that in 'normal' trim on the trailer is about 4000lbs. We often end up putting all of the 'stuff' like coolers in the boat and then putting 5-6 adults in the truck, so that would add another 1000lbs to normal load easily. We'll be pulling the boat again today. I've probably used the Pa...

How was this trip? I just saw this post, I tow a 4000+lbs boat in the summer. Even on 100F days pulling up E. Kentucky's little mountains I've never had a temp issue. The electric fan does kick in, especially when messing around at the ramp, but no problems. My '78 Bronco has a 400cid V8, and it get...

Re: Infiniti Badge Swap?

I'm laughing thinking of the various comments I'd make to my wife if a saw this done.

Last time I saw a Camry w/ a 'L' badge...I think I went with 'wanker'.

Mine does the same thing. Winter/Summer/Summer towing the boat/sitting/moving -- it doesn't matter, once up to temp it stays right where it is in the photo, no real movement.

I don't have this, as I have the non-off road, standard 4x4. BUT I do launch a boat with mine often. What I do is use both feet, I left foot brake a little and let it off kind of like you would a clutch. This gives a smooth start up the ramp w/o rolling back or jerking. This is not Pathfinder relate...

My '06 has just over 40K on it. No real problems. I did have an issue w/ the TPMS light comming on and staying on (this was in the 30K miles range) which the dealer fixed after several tries at it. Since then (out of warrenty now) I've had the light come on (always after driving several hours at a p...
