I like it. Do you know the $ It's ~$60 on this eBay auction . I'd have ordered it by now but all the crooked dealers in my area want to charge me a full hour's worth of labor to register the RFID: $90-110 for 15 minutes worth of work. I think I've found the section that tells how to program the key...

Also FWIW fm modulated mp3 adapters really rob you of sound quality if you were considering it as an option. I haven't found any FM modulators that will even work with the Pathfinder. We have one or two unused frequencies in Northern NJ shared with every satellite radio and iPod user on the road. F...

Replacement Key/Fob

I've never liked the separate key and key-fob for my Pathfinder. This looks like just the solution to my problem (click pic for ebay link):

No no, please go for it gentlemen. My IT consulting life is so insanely busy it's not even funny, barely have a chance to skim messages here once a week. If you really want my input email me, but just come up with a 2-3 choices, put it up for a vote, and I'm sure you all'll come up with something c...

You planning on putting 9+ inches of lift on the pathy? :) I wish! But let's say I went with the Rancho QuickLift setup for shocks, which is supposed to add 2" lift, with OME heavy duty springs (and Total Chaos or Calmini upper control arms). The Rancho setup is designed to...

You would probably get more bang for your buck to replace the Kinked up POS Y pipe. I'll second that. These after-market kits costs upwards of $200. As far as I can see, there's not much you can improve upon with the Pathy's intake. It's already ducted outside of the engine compartment, and there d...

I finally bought the Stebel Brio dual air horns.... they are super loud. I installed it between the radiator and the grille. However, I am having issues with the wiring. I can't seem to get it working. I disconnected the OEM horns and wanted to tap it to the OEM horn harness but no luck. I tried fo...

I still think it would be best to get Carl's final OK once we decide which design we like best. Before picking a design we should probably find a vinyl cutter -- preferably on-line -- who can will make the product. This way we can rule-out or modify any designs that aren't reasonable from a producti...

NJ Lift Laws (e.g., Chassis Elevation Laws)

Has anyone had to deal with NJ Chassis Elevation Laws (N.J.A.C. 13:20-37)?

Specifically, how do you find an authorized inspection/testing service, how difficult is it to pass the inspection/test, how much does the inspection cost, and how long is the approval certificate good for?

Potential R51 upgrades and mods

So I stumbled across this thread on the NORA Website from a guy who put PIAA horns in his Xterra, thinking it would help solve rdog's problem . This head me to explore the www.4x4parts.com website where I discovered (for me) a variety of new potential upgrades for the R51 Nissan Pathfinder. Things s...

Hey MARKSPATH, Very nice pics and journeys! Question: How do you like the Grabbers AT2? They look aggressive on those pics. Can you tell us how they ride on road and off, mileage? I am thinking about changing out my BFG/AT. The BFG is a great tire, but way too rough due to being a E load rated, and...

Your tire guy is right, narrower tires generally perform better in winter because they can better bite through to the road instead of ride on top of the snow. But consider that 245's are only 10mm (~2/5") narrower than your stock 255's. You could go to 225/75R16's and give-up 1/2 inch of ground...

What's all involved in removing the stock mesh backing on the grill, in order to install that billet filling? If I'm not mistaken, that particular kit goes over the stock grill. At least that's how all the kits I've looked at seem to install. Take a look at this selection on AutoAnything.com . I've...
