There's no bypassing the timing chain. wierd, those are pretty tough pieces. I've had belts last 200k before.

Any all-terrain or all-season will do really.

In VA, I run Firestone Destination LEs on my Silverado. I never use 4wd in the light snow we get in VA.

Slow and smart in the snow is how to go. When you get the occasional ice storm there, forget it.

I'm not sure whether to go red or yellow.

I'm thinking yellow right now, but not sure if red would be just fine as well.

It seems prudent I give Greg @ PRG a jingle and see what he has to say.

If it's under warranty, just go in with that code right away, or start by calling them and offering that info.

If it's lifted the 2", I think the front with the 285/70-16 would still rub the frame (and the plastic, but that can be adjusted) unless I went with new rims with a different off-set. True? I'd have to stick with the stock 265/70-16 (30.6x10.4) for now. My upgrade choices are pretty limited I t...

Damn, those look pretty nice compare to the ones the OR version gets. I installed them on my SE and thought that if they take a hit or two, they're done, lol.

Looks like they call for the Ext Heavy version, $945 a piece...(lol, sorry, meant a pair)

Time to start doing some real research in this... full up with the coilovers and UCAs starts getting expensive where just a front shock and rear spring is cheap in comparison. Damn.

Generally:

P265/65-17 = passenger
LT265/65-17 = light truck

LT's work just as well as the P tires, actually often times better than the P, just depends on what you are looking for.

Lift Dilema

Thanks to rragpaoa and his recent post, I'm not sure which route to take. His or xd9-g19's . Front: New UCAs, coilovers, springs vs. the bilstein Rear: New springs and shocks vs. springs I want to go no more than 2" . I don't plan on upgrading anything else or the system further. On top of that...

Well, after about 3/4 a tank, light came on again... Checked two things: -Gas cap... I think it was actually loose. I told my wife to please make sure it's tight when she fills it up, lol. -Evap vent hose... some dirt came out, blew that out. Should the actual evap canister be empty or full sounding...
