check for loose grounds and make sure the battery connections are firm and clean.

Re: Thinga-Ma-Jigger Update

And while I am posting, here is a teaser for the next modification. Not sure when i will get to it as it will require some drilling and careful placement and I have a newborn coming in like 2 weeks most likely.

Re: Thinga-Ma-Jigger Update

I did some pre-tahoe work on the thing to button some stuff up. Mainly I put the wheel well liners back in with some trimming. This is for the fronts. I took the rears off and cleaned them and just cleaned up the one side that has a weird protrusion into the wheel well but this was only to get a lit...

I don't have many that would be all that interesting to the group.

I have a couple time laps and driving movies, but they are way too big to put on here.

Re: Got some new tires - Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015

i have a little over 5k on my set of these.

but in a much larger size. lift and the front requires some trimming.
LT285/65R18

drove it up to tahoe with some heavy snow and i was quite happy with the performance but i dont have extensive snow experience.

Re: Loss of heat stopped at idle.

i think its too late. the difference in tread is likely too large. but if you have a tire go bad you can buy just one and have another new one to rotate in with it.

Re: Loss of heat stopped at idle.

Honestly, I think there was just some air stuck in there. There could be a leak, but it has to be so small as to be irrelevant. The thermostat might be opening a few degrees early (5-10) (based on spec) but its not enough for me to want to address it now. Maybe next time I feel like flushing the rad...

Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

yeah like a very loud shop vac.
they didnt cover much of the cost. had them do the water pump as well cause they were there. they said they hadnt seen any go out but it was a minimal cost addition.

Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

Its the V6, it was super noisy so I had to have the timing chain guides done and got a pittance from the manufacturer (there was a schedule to cover some of the cost).

Does the V8 have the same problem?

Re: Nissan Fluids Or Aftermarket

Looks like I am a little early on the trans and diffs, here is my list of everything that i know was done. Interestingly i do not see the serpentine belt. Weird i doubt very much that it has an original 15 year old belt on it. I will do the power steering fluid. I doubt that was ever done. and do th...
