Had a better response typed up, phone lost it. Try #2, I'd lose the factory GPS I bought. Then the loss of the onboard comp systems like tpms display, etc, the need to change the center console surround are deal killers for me. Do you not miss the comp functions you could access through the stock s...

Just curious why your LE prevents your putting in an aftermarket HU? I have an LE with a Kenwood Double DIN. I haven't had any major issues.

What year is your truck? I have some oems that came off within a month of the SUVs purchase. They have been boxed and protected from UV for many years now... I bought them for a retrofit that hasn't happened yet and I'm not so eager to do it now. I'd certainly entertain offers and would be willing t...

I'm still suffering through it... Never built up the gumption to void the warranty by opening it up... Now that you mention it, the warranty was only two years... I have to be getting close to the end...

Radio reception seems to suffer...

I have a 2005 Pathfinder that I had a Kenwood 9980HD installed in a couple of years ago. When I accelerate the radio reception suffers. I know we have a powered antenna, and I think the installers connected the antenna to a lead that does have enough current to power the antenna when the system is u...

The scan tool says that the O2 sensor that has been replaced twice is bad. Dealer says a leak must exist somewhere that's causing it... They will dive into it deeper after I return from vacation...

could be one of your catalytic converters? Yep, but I'm not gonna say it! I replaced one of them last year. EDIT1: Turned out to be a bad wire on the O2 sensor... O2 sensor was re-replaced FOC... EDIT2: The light is back on... Not sure what's happening? Headed over at lunch for a followup scan. We ...

SES light is back this morning... Pretty sure it isn't related to the timing chain, most likely related to the (misdiagnosed) oxygen sensor...

After my 30% discount, I was out 2.5k and change for the repairs. She's running like a top again... for now at least.

Images look nice, what was the cost/damage for the retrofit? Did you provide the headlamps? I bought a set of headlamps with this retrofit in mind. They have been sitting and collecting dust since then...

Yes do the bypass.
If it's the timing chain... EEK  is an understatement! It's a really expensive repair when done by the dealer (~$2500) in my case...

Would be great to recoup the part price... Unfortunately, when I did the fuel sending unit, I was already outside the extended warranty window of 72000 mi. I could have opted to do the O2 sensor myself, LOL, the 2500 dollar quote on the timing chain must have really discombobulated me! :)

I would try the little guys, but in my area the shops routinely have very similar labor rates to those of the dealer... And, I'm not sure if I cna trust any of them be honest. I guess the parts savings could be substantial, but in this case, the major expense is for labor. I like to do my own repair...

I had to have the guy repeat it cause I didn't believe it. I've had timing belts replaced on Honda's and Acura's, but I even had a chain done on an Oldsmobile right after I finished high school... Might have been 5-600 bucks each time. But, I never had chain done on a Nissan, STICKER SHOCK. Consider...
