Well I got the front wheels off this weekend and poked around. The driver's tire actually has a slight bulge in the tread - looks like belt damage to me. The tires are near end of life, so I guess I'll order some new tires and TPMS, since that is another project on my list. I'm not sure if this is n...

Weird steering "pulse" or tug to the right

So this just started happening - jumped in the Pathy and started driving, and the steering wheel wants to be slightly turned to the right. When I straighten the steering wheel, it pulses, or jumps a bit, to the right, and puts the wheel back to a slight right turn. The truck of course then veers rig...

Back in the day, right after I got my (used) Pathfinder, this happened to me. I took it to a local garage and they traced it to a dead sensor in one of the wheels, so resetting won't last long if the sensor is dead. The sensors are I believe $60 each and you have to unmount the tire to get to them, ...

Mr Sayantsi This looks like a great upgrade and your write-up is well done! Do you have any updates for us as to your satisfaction with the system one year later? It would be good to know about reliability and if you have made any changes. Thanks Hey, thanks for asking. One year on and the lights h...

Thanks. I stopped by and got the cel read - P0420 sensor reading below threshold. I was wondering why the cel popped up and I have loose material in the down-level cat - it sounds like the monitored cat has gone and its material is now rattling in the second cat on the passenger side, which is "...

Rattle from rear catalytic - pinched exhaust pipe?

So, yesterday I noticed a new rattle on acceleration. Nothing when idling but once I get rpm over 2k or so, I get a rattle noise. That night, the CEL popped up - no time to read the code yet though. This morning, I go out and start inspecting the exhaust system and sure enough, the catalytic on the ...

Ideally an LED bulb is plug and play, however I have yet to find any decent LED bulbs for cars.

I'd assume you just unscrew the existing terminal, thread the cable into the new one, and tighten everything down?

If there are ever assemblies that fit the 08 design, the instructions at least would be helpful.

DIY: Install aftermarket headlights (CG projectors)

Its no secret that the Pathfinder's headlights suck for light output. One relatively easy fix is to buy an aftermarket light assembly with better optics, and another is to upgrade to HIDs once you have a projector assembly. I purchased a set of CG lights to start the process. They were around $280 f...

Real quick, are you all doing this upgrade yourselves or is it something best suited to a professional? The upgrade I was planning requires the lights to be shipped off and done by a professional. That project is getting moved farther and farther out for me, as I decided it'd be a better use of my ...

I got my Pathfinder from CarMax, and when I bought it I bought one of the extended plans - six years and 55k additional mi from date of purchase. It was $1,400 and should last me five years at least, at which point I'll either sell the Pathfinder or not, but it will then be around 10 years old and m...

Transmission cooler bypass diagram - is this correct?

Hey all, I'm finally getting around to bypassing the transmission cooler on my 06 Pathfinder, and after reading all the threads and images here about how to do it, it still isn't quite clear to me where the exact hoses are, even though the job seems simple enough. So, I sketched out the following di...
