So...I got the fuel level sending unit replaced and its WAY better than the old. It's accurate and goes down gradually as opposed to huge jumps.

NVSteve, you're right. When I went looking for a replacement battery, I couldn't find anyone that listed it. I went to Costco, Walmart and a couple of other auto outfits here in Vancouver. Nobody listed the battery for my 05 PF. I couldn't understand why, so I tried to match up a different battery f...

My stock battery died on me 3 weeks ago at the Home Depot parking lot...and I found that out after I bought lumber and loaded it into the PF. Luckily, a Firefighter stopped by and gave me a boost. I headed off to the parts store. I didn't realize that our PF had reverse polarity posts until the part...

I wish the drivers seat in my 05 PF was a little bit lower, but to compensate for it I lean it back a little. One of the problems is that my PF has the biggest freaking rear view mirror I've ever seen. My rear view mirror has the garage opener/temp gauge/direction indicator thingy built in and that ...

I'm voting for the used tranny. See if you can negotiate a installed price with the mechanic. Make him an offer-see if he'll do it for $1500 all in.
It's definitely worth a try.

Very nice. I've always wanted to install an after market stereo, but didn't want to lose the steering controls. I like it.

Welcome to the forums. I think you should get another quote for a rebuilt transmission. You should be able to find one cheaper. That engine/car should be able to last for at least another 60k. If you can't afford a new car then you gotta work with what you have. Do a little more research into a rebu...

No recall. The two U-Joints cost me less than $50 for the two after taxes. The U-Joints are a part of regular maintenance so ya gotta change them every so often. The only other thing is that you wanna make sure you get the U-Joints with the greasable nipples. If you take it into the dealership/shop,...
