So the car is now back at the dealership. I got about 1/2 way there & lost all power, so I had it towed in. When I got there the tech pulled codses & found P0300 - random misfire. He thinks that because the PVC hose broke. that allowed raw fuel into the exhaust & has caused the cats to f...

Ok, I picked up the ar last night & got about 5 miles away when the check engine light came on again. This time it stays on steady but flashes on acceleration or slight load. Got home and pulled codes - po300 random miss fire.So back it goes today. it would be great if the tech would have test d...

It would be great if it's the ecm relay as that has not been replaced under waranty. I thought it may be fuel related because it happened about 12 miles after I filled up. The car has been at the dealer since Monday. They found a PCV hose was leaking, but keep getting the wrong replacement hose. Hop...

bad fuel

I got a tank full of bad fuel in my 06 path & I think the cats have failed. The check engine light is on - I haven't pulled codes yet, but intermittantly it looses all power.
I live in an area that has no smog checks so can I gut the cats & hopefully regain performance ?

OK, here's my deal. I bypassed the cooler on my 06 pathy about 3 years ago. In the summer I tow a 19' boat that weighs 4200 # on the trailer. I've towed east on I90 from Seattle to Moses Lake & Lake Chellan many times in the summer with out any problems. My average towing speed is about 65. I'm ...

Go with Weathertech. I have the carpet lined rubber ones front, middle & a full size one behind the 2nd row seat. They are great. Even the grand kids don't hurt them. To clean them just take them out & hose them off. The only complaint I have is that the drivers side one doesn't stay fastene...

Licence plate light

Can any one tell me how to replace the licence plate light bulbs ? Does the chrome trim come off or is there some other way to get to the bulbs ?

I just towed a 4x8 UHaul from Oakland to Seattle in the rain & got 15.6 mpg running about 65 mph. I guess the trailer loaded weighed about 2000 #. No problems towing it.

My passenger seat squeaked when ever anyone was riding in it. It turned out to be rubbing where the seat mounts to the floor. I installed nylon flat wahers between the mount & the floor - no more squeak. I also had a squeak from the inner panel on the right front door. Removed the panel, put a s...

That sounds like alot of BS. I would have them put the tires from the other Pathfinder on & take you for a test ride. In 4hi, there can be issues with drive lines binding & not shifting out of 4hi, but turning left / right to get it to shift is odd. AWD / 4wd should have enough play to shift...

Wow. I find it amaising that so many Pathfinder owners have so many problems. My 06 LE now has 82k on it & I run the wheels off it - a 65 mile round trip commute, towing a boat & many long distance trips. So far ( knock on wood ) the only problems have been a broken center console latch, the...

Being in the japanese auto repair business & owning an 06 Pathfinder LE, maybe I can shed some light on this concern. When the pathfinder is in 4h or 4l, it is as though all 4 wheels are locked together & turning at the same speed. When you veer from a straight path - turning right or left i...
