my kenwood deck from the pic above cost $150 with the trim kit and has bluetooth and hands free calling and a dvd player. a lot better than 2200 But can it control the mpg display on monitor, the mainetance intervals, can it read the tire pressures etc? Thats all part of this unit apperantly .... :...

Just got the estimate from the dealer $2200 to replace the stereo unit which is the module that drives everything..

You know that you so much for doing this and documenting this. Now I will have the confidence to execute a srping swap as I want my vehicle to be able to carry a significant load in an emergency and not disply it via excessive squat (I am a prepper) but still drive and look normally when loaded only...

Cleaned the heck out of the battery terminals but no improvment...
The special fuse seems locked securely in place.....

Anyone have a picture of the fuse its supposed to be?

I think I have the same issue. At first I thought it was operator error... But this affects too many things.. It seems anything thats memory related in my center console does not work. The MPG are not memorized.. I push reset and my current mpg reading gets returned to 18.2 mpg no matter how I been ...

Update: Just had front and rear diffs and transfercase done. Tech said front and rear diffs didnt look too bad at all, "been serviced before" but transfer case fluid looked "horrible, likely original". Now all that's left is plugs.. But the truck runs so well I am not sure it nee...

So in other cars when I turn the car back on the CD players picks up where it left off. Even in the middle of song. But the Bose on restart goes to Track 1 of CD 1. I dont want to hear the same song every time I start the truck!! Is there a"setting" I can fix this one like "preference...

I would reset it and duirng that drive it would display. but anytime I turn the engine off (which you would many many times in the life of a tank of gas) it resets to 18.2 mpg. Yes the VQ40 has had a change in recommended intervals .

In XTerras its the same.
VQ40 used to be recommend at 3750 (normal/light) or 7500 (severe service) in my 05
My former '15 XTerra with the same VQ40 however read "every 5000 miles" and had no severe or light service distinction.
