Skinny, do know of an inline coolant warmer/heater that you would recommend? I live in the midwest, and my wife maybe drives 2-3 miles to work. The Pathfinder never gets warmed up and she is averaging about 10 mpg as well. Not to mention, it is very hard on an engine when it is always running cold ...

Thanks for all the tips guys, i think i'm going to start plugging it in even though it's only around -2 here on the colder days, and +2 on the warmer ones. perhaps that will make it run at less RMPS on ignition

I usually buy my vehicles 2 years old and sell them at 200k or 10 years, whatever comes first. at this point, 2015 looks sooner than 200k, so if there isn't a nissan body on frame SUV, then damn i may have to go pickup. Tahoes are just too soccer mom for me right now. Please don't ruin my favourite ...

it is a Four Winns H240 and weighs about 4400 lbs. I do not tow it very far. Dry storage to the ramp is only 1/2 mile and the gas station is 1 mile. The furtherst I have towed is to another lake that is 15 miles away. This is mountainous terrain so the pathy definitely labors. If I was going to tow...

All city driving will be brutal with any vehicle, particularly a truck/suv. I don't really think 11-12mpg is out of line if this is true city driving, lots of idling...particularly if you drive with any amount of type-A personality. Have you owned a truck/suv and driven it in the same conditions? I...
