Alright you win. Appreciate the concern. I'll start pricing them out Yeah, good decision. I'm not trying to "win" anything, I'm legitimately looking out for your safety because in all honesty, those are a quite dangerous at that mileage. The tread could separate as Terry said. Imagine thi...

You show me a tire that will have "fine" tread after 80,000 MILES.

That is a ridiculous amount of miles on one set of tires! I don't think I've ever done better than 80000km on a set of tires, and the truck seems to be harder on them. You could have a slipped belt in them, and never know it... On my old truck I'd get 100,000KM (60,000 miles) out of a set of BFG AT...

yeah sorry, 4hi drifting....and i dunno about straight 2wd drifting in the snow. the butt end whips around a little too quickly for my taste in that high profile of a vehicle :) Hmm... I know SUV's are somewhat flip happy, however i've never experienced a sudden weight transfer in the pathfinder (w...

heh, yeah like an audi all-road. that's it. i do love some 4x4 -traction drifting in the snow though. when it's dry i rarely take it out of 2wd unless i'm leaving a store/gas station and i need to have a quick takeoff while turning, then i'll switch it for the launch, but then back to 2wd. when it'...

I'll be perfectly honest, i prefer to leave it in 2wd because it's more fun. Sure you CAN make it slide in auto, but in 2wd it's so much more easy to make the back end get out of shape.

Great thread. Thanks.

EDIT: So, can someone clarify, AUTO is NOT a full time system? It only uses the front wheels as needed?

Well, I got a lucky break i think, I went to my mechanic to get a few suggestions about what to condition my leather seats with (they're in need of a good cleaning/conditioning), aswell as ask about were he thought i should get the damage to the fender repaired, and he suggested this autobody shop d...

EDIT: (PICS UP) http://s1174.photobucket.com/albums/r610/dared3vilo/ NOTE: on the first picture, with the shiny straight looking bar thing, it's just a straight peice of metal tubing held against the truck to give an idea of how deep the dent is. I looked underneath aswell and there is NO damage und...

Well, Some nice man decided to slide into my truck and leave

So folks, this is why i don't like driving my truck in icy conditions. I take a buddy and we go skiing to a local resort today, And the drive up was unpleasant (read: FUN FUN FUN) a there was ALOT of snow on the road, I got to test out my new LTX's in the snow and while they don't grip like the BFG ...
