Well, propeller shafts U-Joints are common source of vibration and they can ruin your drivetrain if not serviced. Repair is fairly simple. You can also check quickly all 4 of them by hand...only front shaft is not accessible easy, so you need to take off plastic protecting plate, few 12mm bolts and ...

Hi, does anybody have something like original manufacturer's 17 inch rims tech papers with certified wheel tires on it? I need it for proper registration of Googdyear Duratracs 265/70-R17 tires on my vehicle, and guys at tech incpection service are asking for some documents about the rims, where it ...

With chip "tuning" device, attached to MAF sensor, I've got better mileage, too... but limp mode under heavier load or when overtaking uphill, very dangerous. But in my case I've got absolutelly no power increase, maybe because I have diesel and you have gas engine, dunno. ELM327 OBD2 read...

I'm about to do the same on front u-joint too, so I am curious about your results. Actually except of rotating pinon-side joint part 180 degrees and the whole shaft 180 degrees, like you will do...I am out of ideas. BTW...I am not sure if this driveshaft can be phased front to rear or not. I mena......

quick question: when pressing the bearing caps back onto the ujoints, shoud you press them in enough to bottom out against the end of the joint, or just enough to put the E clip back into the grooves? I guess it's the second - just enough to get the retaining E-clip back in. The center X-piece shou...

Might be something with air intake: - do you have "sport" air filter? This has lower suction resistance which has influence on air flow, of course. If this is the case, try temporary mod by wrapping few layers of kitchen napa filter around sport filter cone just to make it harder to suck a...

Maybe to bump this up, because I am also into changing ATF in my Pathy. The options I am considering: 1.) As asked gozillion of times, should I follow Nissan OEM recommendations, or excellent SMJ's explanation on ATF fluids? So, Nissan MATIC-S or Valvoline Maxlife or something else...that's the ques...

I'd stay within OEM specs: - front 80W90, 1 liter bottle (will use 0,8) - rear 75W90, 2 litre bottles (will use 1,7), synth! Both can be synthetic. Manual screw-on-bottle pump will come very handy. Just be aware to FIRST loosen top filling screw, only then drain oil through lower drain plug. I learn...

I use EBC brakes (pads and rotors/discs) on all my vehicles and I can confirm brake dust is minimal or almost not noticeable, and braking power is indeed increased quite noticeably. CAVEAT 1: Just MEASURE your brake discs diameter before you make a purchase - EU Pathy models have 320mm, while most U...

How much lift will you add in front? Just spacers or "real" lift?

And back...also just airbags, or including spacers or even "real" lift (struts, dampers)?

Vibration bruuum noise from drivetrain

Hi, just few days ago I faced strange low-frequency "bruuuum" vibration noise from drivetrain of my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder 4WD LE with Automatic transmission. The noise: - is like I would suddenly drive onto ribbed raised side line on highway, you know, the one which produces low vibration...

From Europe with love

Hi everybody :) It's been few months since I bought my first Pathy, 2006 year LE edition with auto transmission and 2.5 dCi engine. It's great rig and as I registered it as a duty vehicle, yearly registration costs are really low (at least in my country). I started upgrading practically as soon as I...
