Re: Engine smokes when going up hill

Could just be an oil leak at the back of a rocker cover hitting a manifold or cat, exacerbated by the fact that the exhaust gets hotter under load. I'd give the covers a very thorough leak inspection before condemning anything inside the engine. Use UV dye if necessary, so nothing can hide.

Re: New jordans and few pics from pathy

Found these links in another forum, they're for the D40 Navarra but that also used the V9X. The links appear to work: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fymx3z6e499j260/ESM%20D40%20%28VQ%2C%20YD%2C%20V9X%29.rar?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/yovkeiee89uxc0h/V9X%20Training%20Manual.pdf?dl=0 Palmer, you might ...

A hose might slap you in the face but it won't stab you.
That's if the belt doesn't eat the hand that's holding the hose. No matter what you use, there are only two safe ways to do it, very carefully or not at all.

For $7 one of these will serve you much better than a piece of hose, and it has a foot-long snout for sticking into places your ears and nose shouldn't go. I personally wouldn't be without one:

Re: Out of ideas

Too much advance will make the ECM dial back the power when it detects knock, so that could definitely limit your performance. You'll need a timing light to set it up perfectly, and the engine must be at the proper idle speed defined in the FSM. However, you can get it close just by turning the dist...

Re: Out of ideas

If the engine revs normally but those RPM's aren't being translated into movement, that's a transmission problem and not the engine.

Re: Air Conditioning Advice

Nissan systems are all fairly touchy about the amount of refrigerant you add, the only good way to get it right with cans is to weigh the cans (which means doing a little math ahead of time so you know the weight of the can versus the contents). Adding some unknown quantity every year, you may well ...

Re: Out of ideas

Those oscillations in the front O2's are normal, they're supposed to wobble between 0.6V or higher and 0.35V or lower. So that's healthy. The STFT's look healthy as well. If the LTFT's gradually drop off as you drive some more then I'd say it's fixed.

Re: Out of ideas

It won't be a fuse because fuse #25 powers the heaters in all 4 sensors. With those negative fuel trims, I'm wondering if your fuel pressure regulator isn't blown. Pull the vacuum line off it and see if gas comes out, if so the regulator diaphragm is busted and the engine is sucking raw fuel into th...

If it only does it in gear and particularly in reverse, the first thing I'd check is the U-joints.

Re: Out of ideas

I can't view those pics on the comp I'm using right now, but I don't recall seeing engine temperatures or loop status on them. Was that a warm or cold engine? If it was cold and running open loop, the HO2S readings won't mean anything because the sensors won't be at operating temperature.

Re: Broken spring

That's correct, Nissan is just calling the control arm a link. There should be a callout someplace in or around that diagram showing the measurement units, but in this case it's NM (Kg/M, Lbs/Ft).

Probably the Frontier as well, but if you want everything to work, you still need a compatible part number. Nissan doesn't use "universal" harnesses, so using a "lookalike" part that doesn't actually fit can literally smoke things.

2.7 oz between the condenser and the receiver/drier. See HA-27 here:

Re: Any high mileage R51's out there with little problems?

Visit the dealer Parts Dept with the part number off the radio housing and ask them to print out the supersession chain for you. That will give you all the part numbers that will work in your application, not just the one number you have. Most radios have at least one and usually multiple supersedin...
