jy ripoffs

yup i have to agree, many of the jy around my home do the same. ie if you pull a 80-90's part it's alot cheaper than a 2k part, with one exception. the U-Pull-It yard is one of the largest we have in abq, and regardless of what year, all the parts are the same. for example, they charge 300.00usd for...

yup

The problem with the old WD's is that even though the suspension is very robust, time sooner or later takes it's toll. I have replace most of my suspension, on the cheap. but this assumes you dont mind doing the work yourself. Personally I love doing this stuff, and it helps that i have a junkyard(a...

Yes they are, Infact they are probably the best site on the net to purchase aftermarket Pathfinder parts. I have an 89 vg30i(3.0l 6 cyl), and these guys have everthing i need, infact in many instances they are the ONLY people that have parts. scara http://i769.photobucket.com/albums/xx336/scaramoche...

wiring

Cheers, First thing i would do is identify, and mark all the wires comming out of the radio, to the wiring harness. ie power remote front speakers rears speakers and any other alternate wires. may take a few minutes, and even some google for the wiring diagram(if not marked) then trace every wire. T...

seats

I agree, check the web, usually you can get good seats for very cheap, even with shipping charges. myself on the otherhand, i searched locally for an apolstery shop, ended up finding a guy on craigslist. I had my wifes care done, total cost, for front/back seats was 600.00. and we got to choose the ...

dent master

I have mixed feeling on this device. it works pretty well if your dent is as follows Newer car/pathy-many of the new vehicals use a grade of sheet metel that is thinner. this has 2 plus's to it. First pulling the dent is easier, second, there is less likelyhood of having a crease after. Next is what...

troubleshooting

by the sounds of it there is something going on with the clutch. first go underneath and with the vehical off, have somone push the clutch in. you will see a cable that connects to the bellhousing, ie the area where the transmission connects to the engine. while they are pumping it you will see at t...

I went to the u-pull-it auto salvage, pulled parts over 4 months, ie seats, clusters, body panels and alot of odd's and ends. Meanwhile I pulled th...

How to give new life to your older pathy

So like many of you out there I purchased a beat up pathy, and over this year gave it a makeover. What i learned during this process is that we, the owners can learn to do 90% of this. On this article I will focus on the interior. Carpet. This by itself can give you the "new car" smell, an...
