Before getting my 08 Pathy I owned a 97 Explorer and a 2001 Explorer and I can't say anything bad about them. They were capable SUV's that drove well and performed better than expected. Went past 100k miles on both with only minor problems. I had a 3" lift w/ 33 BFG A/T's on the 2001 that never...

I was finally in a position to take it to the dealer while the lights were on and they ran the scanner on it. My issue was a bad steering sensor. He said most of the one's he has seen with this problem were Xterras. I don't have the new sensor in yet as they had to order it. But I'm assuming this wi...

I read the European model Pathy's won't get a complete redesign until 2012. A mild facelift is the only thing they're doing for the 2010. Looks to me only front and rear bumper changes and side mirror changes. Not sure if this is just for the Euro models or if they're global...

This probably isn't much of an answer either but my V8 LE has a pretty soft rear as well. I doubt there is too much difference between the two types of springs. I've been thinking about some bags for around town and the few times a year I'm hauling stuff.

Did you use the stock air tube for the AIRAID intake? How is that working?

The only way I can get it to clear is turn the car off and wait a couple minutes. That resets the VDC. Dissconnecting the battery would work by resetting the VDC but I don't think it'll solve your problem. Mine still comes on every now and again. Had it happen again yesterday but wasn't able to get ...

The first time I took mine out on the beach I switched on the 4WD and I'm driving along hearing nothing but clunking, grinding and other bad noises. I was hugely dissapointed in the 4WD ability until I figured out I needed to turn off the VDC. Now the Pathy cuts through sand like it's hot butter. Be...

It's on the front page of 4 Wheel Drive's website. Cool to see my exact model (color and all) as the one they used.

I figured if I brought it in with the lights off they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I was hoping each time they did come on and stay on it would have thrown a code and they could check it that way. But I guess that's too easy. But like I said, I haven't felt any difference in driv...

VDC and SLIP dash lights

Has anyone had problems with the VDC Off and SLIP dash lights coming on out of the blue? I started having this problem about two weeks after I took the Pathfinder home from the dealer but it only happened two or three times over an 8 month period. I would turn the car off, restart it and the problem...

May I ask where you do your driving? Maybe a Pathfinder wasn't the best choice?
