I had an 05 for 1 year and traded it back in for an 07. Fan clutch went out rear heater core rusted out and leaked so they had to lift the body off the frame to replace. Mucho $$$ Fortunatly I had an extended warranty with Carmax that covered this and they let me trade it on my 07 (no problems excep...

I'm not sure what happened here to get away from manual transmissions except that auto used to be considered a luxury. I wonder how many people in the US can even drive a manual.
The real irony is that my 07 Pathy is an automatic but my sedan has a 6 speed

That is a good point on the fan. I had a fan lock up on my 2005 Pathy. These fans have hydraulic clutches that will sieze and the fan is always on which causes a huge drag on the engine.

My other car cannot handle anything under 93 octane. Every car has it's own ability to dial in timing to handle different gas. Knock sensors allow timing to be retarded or advanced depending on the octane. More timing advance gives greater power but will cause knock or pre detonation if the octane i...

it is a Four Winns H240 and weighs about 4400 lbs. I do not tow it very far. Dry storage to the ramp is only 1/2 mile and the gas station is 1 mile. The furtherst I have towed is to another lake that is 15 miles away. This is mountainous terrain so the pathy definitely labors. If I was going to tow ...

I run mid grade (89 octane) without any issues. Premium is 93 octane in my area and I fill it with 93 and a bottle of techron every 3 months or so.

How much junk is in the trunk? My kid was getting horrible mileage until I got him to clean all the crap out of his car. He was even carrying dumbells in the trunk. Lightening the load helps a lot.

I hate MAF's! My other car is a BMW M5 and it has 2 MAF's. They are $250 each. I just put a tune in the car from Evolve that eliminates the MAF's altogether! Its called Alpha-N. She runs like a dream now.

Thats definitely a nice refresh. Just got my truck, 3K miles in and all Ive done is K&N filter, new wiper blades and tranny bypass (I think my vac plugs are leaking, starting to notice a little anti-freeze smell every once in a while). I owe her an oil change next! Yep, I did a new battery, int...

Thank god for 60K powertrain warranty and the extended plan that I bought from Carmax. Timing chain and tensioners replaced under warranty (loud whining sound) Subwoofer's replaced ($70 deductible) from extended plan. They were blown bad. Fixed squeaks (think it was the hood) New cabin filter. Front...

Around here all grades (87, 91, and 93 octane) have 10% ethanol. And that's if you're lucky. I have a friend with classic cars and he tests fuel at times and has found upto 30% in some fuels. I have found several stations that sell Non-Ethanol gas. I always fill my boat there and my cars when conve...
