Nice setup, what was the part number of the Flex-a-lite kit?

Isn't that auxillary push fan primarily for the AC condenser??? Might not want to remove that...

On my old '06 Pathfinder I found some holes with rubber plugs/grommets in the firewall in the upper left area of the driver's foot well. I presume they plug holes that would be for clutch hardware in the manual transmission XTerras...

Was just searching around one of the Titan forums and found this nifty radio, all the controls are on the Mic and the guts of the thing can be mounted out of sight, slick solution: https://cobra.com/images_products/75WXST_H-med.jpg https://cobra.com/detail/75-wx-st-compact-remote-mount-cb-radio-with...

CB install?

Anybody install a CB in their Pathfinder yet? Is that 'pocket' where the AUX connector resides standard DIN sized maybe?

Woh, so my nifty AEM Filter Minder is already tripping red and indicating a filter change is needed. I'm going to pull the video down until I get this sorted out.

Just ordered a K&N Filter Minder to test with and compare...

Here's my review of the Volant CAI:
http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?p=50357

Slightly better MPG in certain situations, a little faster, fantastic sound, and no changing the filter for 100K miles nor filter-oil-on-the-MAF issues to worry about.

I'll keep you posted, but I'd say in day-to-day driving I'm seeing .5 to 1 MPG increase. TBD on if a long highway cruise feels any better... I'm really not worried about the air-box not fitting, lots of CAI kits do without it, and warmer air will give a bit better MPG if anything. If this was a boos...

And just had a couple quarts of fresh Redline D6 ATF flushed into the power steering system. 60K tasks done, ready for the next 60 :D

I used to tow about 5K lbs worth of trailer and race car with my first generation Murano (which, like the current Murano and the new Pathfinder, is basically just a lifted V6 CVT AWD Altima wagon) with no problem. No idea how long the transmission would hold up to that abuse regularly however...

I've found that the battery clamp will not tighten enough period *if* I don't seat it 100% down on the post. This is maybe a quirk of the Optima batteries, I have no idea, but clearly it's a wee bit thicker down at the base of the post... Also, got my Volant CAI install, and also added an AEM Filter...

Step-by-Step install video, Volant CAI & AEM Filter Mind

It's so hard to really grok how something like a CAI or exhaust system is going to sound and feel and perform from just quickly crafted words on a web page, so I decided to go all out on my recent Volant CAI install. Here's my video for step-by-step installation, before and after performance testing...

I'll look at it more closely when I get to 80K miles, before then I would not recommend doing the bypass...

(ha, that sounded dumb. Edit: I would not recommend anyone doing the bypass before you're out of warranty, not that you shouldn't do it before *I* am out of warranty  )

It's an exceedingly easy job if you're at all handy with tools. There's a socket on the tensioner that you just put a 3/8" socket driver into to get a handle and leverage on it to lean it over and slip the belt off, and then just one more bolt to replace the tensioner. You may need to remove so...

So...it's bad, but not necessarily as bad as it seems. Yes, the taller tire raises the body increasing frontal area and aerodynamic drag, and a wider tire both increases drag from road friction AND increases the frontal area. But, it's not all bad. A taller tire also increases the tire's circumferen...
