Well I had the truck at the dealers today for the EVAP control valve to be replaced. They did not give me the fault code but said it was the valve. So I went and looked at the location and found they had snapped the bolt head off and cable tied the canister in place. I know it is hard under cars in ...

Very nice. I liked your lighting mods as well.

Could you itemize you mods with suppliers if it was not too much trouble.

If you have it a ball park price for what you did.

it is a range of mods I would like to consider.

truck of the month contender???

Well I went into the dealers today and had the diagnostic done. It is an EVap valve problem - sticking half open, covered by warranty so no cost. I will detail the fault code etc when I have it replaced next week.
Would that affect the gas mileage?

What I meant was paying out $75 for a diagnosis just for a gas cap.

I was looking at a couple of scanners and will buy one eventually. I have a feeling that the dealer will not accept my findings and insist on a charged scan. Well I haven't spent anything on it so it is time to pay. Hope it is not a faulty tank cap seal. Well in the free market US they scan free , I...

SES on again

Well over the past 6 months I have had on and off SES light. It does not correlate to fuel being put in, I have checked the cap and visually it looks OK. i had the oil changed - free and the car coated for winter. It comes on for about 2 weeks then goes off, if I get annoyed with it on I disconnect ...

Welcome to the Canadian brotherhood of Pathfinder owners. I have an 07 and have had the sender done but was unaware of the timing chain being an issue on the 07 year. I have only 61000kms on mine but thought it sensible to do the bye pass, it is very straight forward and I left the pipes there just ...

If it a CV joint does that not also click or clunk harder when the truck is turned hard left or right. From prior experience with CV failures they usually show up easier if you drive a tight circle on either lock, it is the side you are using as the inside wheel that has the failure joint. have you ...

If you go to a plumbers merchant they will have adapter fittings, you used to be able to get metric to imperial rings for compression fitting - from memory green rings. If you are going from 16mm alu with rubber connector to a 12 mm pex maybe http://www.pexsupply.com/Wirsbo-Uponor-LF4545050-ProPEX-B...

Nissan Canada doing you a favor - I think not. I had a rear shock blow at 49000kms and 3 weeks out of B to B and they said NO. What is the story here, do you need both cats on each side or can you do away with one? http://www.andysautosport.com/nissan/2005_9999_pathfinder/performance/exhaust/catalyt...

I would just wear gloves, I know it is little help but I would think owning a 07 LE as well that the job is not that straight forward.

Playing with airbags is not that sensible.

Having read this thread I wondered if anyone has thought about using PEX pipe front to back, It is very strong and as plastic not a corrosion problem. If you can use rubber at each end to reconnect to factory. It is not a high pressure system - compared to domestic water. I live in the snow belt so ...

OH NO NOT ANOTHER JACKED UP MINIVAN

Well I came across this in the media for the Detroit show, It just makes me wonder why they all have to be the same, part of teh difference of owning a proper 4x4 is that is you can. Now with this replacement it is going to be less the car I want. I would not feel right getting into this with dirty ...
