Steering Wheel Removal

Help! I watched all the youtube videos and did a bit of reading but try as I might I can't get the airbag out of the steering wheel. I have a new volume control/Cruise switch to install but, as much as i press on that little ring thing my Air bag does not detach. When I press on that little tab you ...

Re: The end of my 05 timing chain story

At least it didn't leave you stranded and now you'll know. I always wonder that if mine get's bad, would I pull the engine and do a full tear out on it???

Hard to swallow that pill but, it must feel like a brand new engine again!

Re: 2005 Pathfinder - Exhaust and other stuff

I've been so toying with changing my exhaust but, it just doesn't need it yet. Just clicked over 128000 mi (205K) km. I'd love a slightly more louder exhaust just, because I love listening to exhaust sounds but, I really don't want something droney. Love to do it myself too instead of paying a muffl...

Re: Wheel Bearings

Job Done, well that Post and the video I linked too made this job a walk in the park. There was two real tricks for me. Basically destroying the old connector for the wheel speed sensor to get it disconnected from the vehicle. Same on both sides, a good 20 minutes of messing with the stupid connecto...

Re: Canadian Supplier

Super pro review and Suspension.com supplier for Canadian peeps. Ok so full disclosure, I wussed out installing the Power Steering bushings. I didn't have all the proper tools to do it and those bolts on the Rack were just too intimidating. So I took it to a local shop that did the job, and alignmen...

Re: Pics of R51 Pathy with Moog rears settled for a week

Yes that's what mine looked like after I did it. It settled about 1/2 inch after a few months but, really happy with the them! Nice looking Pathfinder! How much above stock height do you think they ultimately settle down to? 2 inches? or less or more? You Know, I should have measured but, it's gott...

Re: Front end rebuild

I did the rear Shocks and Springs this past Fall and it certainly felt more happy on the road. I'd like to do the front shocks/springs but, for now it's bearings, sway bar bushings and rack bushings. See how she feels after that.

New front quick Struts aren't cheap up here.

Canadian Supplier

Hey Guys, I can't seem to find the Steering bushings anywhere in Canada. Though I haven't tried the dealer yet. I wanted the PRG ones but, they don't ship to Canada. :( https://www.prgproducts.com/product-page/steering-rack-bushings Anybody have any insight on where to get some to Canada. I guess I ...

Wheel Bearings

Well, I've always thought this was something out of my wheelhouse but, after watching a few videos and seeing what was involved; I believe it's not Completely out of my wheelhouse. So, just ordered the Timken Wheel bearings and going to do both the fronts when they arrive. I should really change the...

Re: Front end rebuild

Wow Nice work! I'm just about to do the bearings on mine as one is starting to get a little grumbly. 200,000 km figured it was time anyways. Ordered the Timkens and hopefully they will be here soon. I've got two weeks off coming up and should have lots of time to get this done.

Re: Stumped: Front suspension new but still have bump steer

And that's the sad truth, it's really hard to find good places that will work on your vehicle. It took me a good few years before I found a few local shops that I truly trust with my equipment. When it's something I can't conquer, I take it to them.
Glad you are once again happy with your ride!

Re: Back to KYB

Hey @Vegpower, Same Island!!! Howdy! Interesting to read. I put the Moog Springs and the Bilstein shocks in the back and it's a bit sharper going over big bumps but, I think it's starting to soften a bit. What I was really impressed with was, with 3 kids, 2 adults and all our gear it sat great and r...
