@thupertrooper I noticed your signature says you have the Airlift 1000 on your ride. I was looking at that exact kit this morning as I have been thinking about getting a travel trailer. I wanted something that would just help reduce the sag if it comes to it. I'll definitely be getting an equalizer ...

I wondered that. Right on the Gas door panel it suggests using premium. So I've been running Premium and a mix of mid grade but, wondered about the 4.0 L performance with 87 grade gas. Good to know it doesn't harm anything. With Canadian Gas prices being what they are, I may just start running the 8...

Thanks All!

I figure when it starts to whine I'll get my hands dirty and get after it! I've got a second vehicle, so I can take my time, when it comes to it!!!

I was actually shocked that I have an Electric fan and Clutch fan. Talk about cooling!!!

Timing Chain Question

Hey All, Been reading in here for quite a bit since I bought my 2009 Pathfinder and I'm wondering if I should replace my Timing Chains, preemptively? It has 116000 miles on it and Runs like a top but, I'm just wondering if it's something I should do before something breaks, along with the tensioners...

Backup Camera

Good Day All! I want to add a backup camera to my rig as it didn't come with one. I know I can add another screen and camera but, I saw this thread over at Nissan Help and it shows taking the Head unit apart. I'm probably comfortable going this route but, just wondered if anybody has actually tried ...

That thing is like frigging daylight when it's ON! When I get some spare change I want to install the biggest one I can fit in that gape above the License plate! :D

Thanks for sharing and awesome job mounting it!

I've thought of this too. My 09' has the same setup as yours and it doesn't look like anybody makes anything after market for these rigs and the ones that did, don't seem to be making them anymore. I did find this thread interesting about how he modified the Stock unit to accept a backup camera. I m...

Radiator ByPass

Just wanted to chime in and say thanks to @palmerwind who posted the link to the thread about the Radiator bypass. http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?p=90103#90103 It helped me to determine that my Pathfinder indeed had one of the suspect Radiators. With the help of the link below I was able...

The Sentra, is solid and been around for years!! Its a simple car to work on, and so good on fuel. My 01' get's 30 mpg and our 2012 gets 28 MPG...

Go for it. They are truly nothing flashy but, they reliable, simple commuter cars!!!

We had an 01' Sentra that blew the headgasket, so I sidelined it and rebuilt the engine from the head up. As we have kids coming up soon to learn how to drive it seemed like the ideal car. My Wife wanted something simple and easy to drive, we were torn between a Mazda 3 and Hyundai Sonata. My Wife s...

Make sure you read up on the transmission issue
Yes that's right at the top of my List, thank you. I'll be checking for the bypass this weekend and if it's not done, I'll be doing it!!!

Where I live we get 20-30 degrees C Summer days and between -5 and 10 degrees C Winter days. However, I'm considering pulling a Travel Trailer a few times a year, perhaps a new Rad should be on the horizon.

I think for now though, I'll do the bypass and then look at ordering a new Rad.
