Low profile roof rack - Homebrew :o)

Spent a couple of days cobbling this together... https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-cxx7QrkhXOk/UA2k5HGPwPI/AAAAAAAAB6A/ytVO8eSUHGs/s912/IMAG0593.jpg Not come out to bad at all. Sits level with the roof bars, no additional wind noise that I can notice anyhow, and no need to worry about carpark clear...

The FT857 is an Amateur Radio set, often described as a whole radio shack in a box. To use it you would need the local equivalent of an Amateur radio operators licence. It will if "opened up" (most specialist retailers will be able to do this or point you in the right direction) transmit o...

Yes I have a lip mount antenna bracket on the rear tailgate. It clamps on and does not have a need for holes in the bodywork. You can then use a quick release mount on the bracket or simply unscrew the antnna when not in use. I use a atas 120 antenna which isn't cheap but covers a huge number of ban...

Tyres (Tires) and their pressure will make a considerable difference as well. Worth keeping on top of the pressures.

I have an amature radio, a Yeasu FT857, it has a face off mount which I installed in the Sunglasses drop down. The Mic is tucked away down beteween the seat and handbrake when not in use. Appreciate that you may not want to even consider a licence or that kid of expense but maybe there are some face...

Yeah, I guess the leaf springs on the back end would sag a little.

Its in the timing... landing a plane on your truck.

Forgive me if I missed this but I've got to post the link to this, I don't know if hes brave or insane.. theres a fine line between the two... sound like his own truck the way he talked about it to.

Brake Disc / Rotor and Pad change Video DIY for noobs.

Seems the question of how to sort the discs (rotors over the pond) on a Pathfinder comes up quite regular, and no surprise either given the cost if you have them done by a garage. I managed to do these myself yesterday, first time, straight forward enough with basic tools. Did a little video of the ...

Could be a battery on the way out - all sorts of strange signals get sent around the car wiring harness on my last Full Fat Range Rover, maybe the Pathfinder uses similar tech in places?

Try a hard reboot... unplug the battery for a while then reattach and see if its a voltage gremlin. Worth a shot.

Same here in the UK... I unbolted the relay box and did the work from up top. I do have the Diesel version though. Remove firewall pipe from the engine side... see the outlet from the aircon.. insert longer tight hose.. refit firewall drain. No problems since. This will no doubt cause many pathfinde...

Anyone replaced DMF and Clutch for solid..?

My clutch smelt hot the last two times we have reversed the carvan up the drive. I've done some reading and now I'm expecting a clutch failure due to the crap dual mass flywheel. This has come as a blow having just got shut of a Range Rover having spent £3000 UKP on autobox recondition.. only to fin...
