I'd be very cautious of putting chains on the front of the pathfinder, they can easily foul the suspension and that could get really expensive, not to mention potentially cause a nasty occurance. I'd look at the cost of dedicated snow tyres and the likelyhood you will revisit this area.. if its a on...

Remyek.. it's running fine now. I guess the garage may have let it run out of fuel as it was real low when I went for a test drive. I can only guess they didn't bleed it.

Any links to the Cat deleter you have ordered. You have my interest :D

Indeed.. I was just concerned I may get some resonation as the wipers that were / are fitted are constructed mainly of rubber and not a metal frame. I just got an insert and changed it. We'll see how long it lasts I guess. I'd never seen blade assemblies like these before. The car is now 3 years old...

I guess it would depend on if you fitted them because they make a purposeful difference to the use of the vehicle.. or just because they look "cool" ... like do you need them? Eitherway some will still think you were a poser even if you happened to be Indian jones and had Lara Croft as you...

Got a replacement insert.. sorted the passenger side which was failing, though the spare isn't long enough to do the drivers side.. will keep an eye out for longer ones.

Wiper Blade replacement. >08 Mammoth

Looked at the blades yesterday and they need replacement.. the blade look almost custom to the vehicle.. can I use an off the shelf aftermarket replacement without hassle or am I suddenly going to get wind noise or poor performance?

Yes keep it in D for general driving. You may want to lock it in to a lower gear if you are doing some hill climbing to save the box hunting up and down. Obvioulsy change up before the engine pops through the bonnet / hood.

Hi Hollow, I'm a recent owner too and also in the UK (Staffs). I'd imagine that the brake fade and handbrake issue is highly likely to be due to worn disks and pads. I'd start by getting them changed. The engine does indeed sound like a Jumbo on take off  I'm used to it having had a few 4x4's b...

BUT apart from that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwALGobz4cc kind of covers my question above   [edit] Ahhh.. her...

I'm not counting my chickens just yet but it started ok after 20 hours stationary on a low tank. All I have done is bleed the filter as far as humanly possible and make sure everything fastened to the filter is nice and tight. The car is new to me one month ago but I noticed that the jubliee clips h...

OK great.. I'll take a look underneath later and check for anything obvious. I've got four days off now so I'll try and leave it 20 odd hours and see if its sorted its self out. Yesterday I did some prodding about. I checked the clip on hose on the top of the filter..there are two O ring seals on th...
