Re: SIEMED Fog Lights - I like them

Lots of choices here. We just came back from a 1200 KM road trip driving through the hills. My 24" LED Light bar was such a savior, no need for highbeams when you have one of these! I would love to upgrade, my fog lights as the housings are pretty foggy from all the rock chips. Those SIEMD one...

Re: Where under the hood is the heater inlet pipe?

Anyone else use these metal replacements for the heater inlet pipes from Wholesale? I am lazily getting around to flushing everything before re-asssembly, and the idea of cheap steel pipes for hot coolant seems to be trading one long term problem for another. Not 100% sure as I don't see red rust we...

Re: Where under the hood is the heater inlet pipe?

Metal part is halfway in, and I it looks good enough I will stick with it over the Nissan part, which I also have in hand. But... The plastic was so brittle, not only did other pieces break off with minimal pressure, but some pieces of the large nipple heading back to the collector and radiator fell...

Re: Anyone running a ram air intake?

This article remains a good discussion of ram air: https://www.cycleworld.com/story/blogs/ask-kevin/motorcycle-ram-air-explained/ TLDR version - true ram air only works at high speed, and must be engineered correctly to work. It sort of works on very fast production super sport motorcycles at track ...

Re: Latest to keep my 05 rolling

Stock steering on these trucks is pretty vague even when new. I put PRG delrin steering rack bushings in mine and it tightened up the steering quite a lot.

Of course the OEM part is back ordered. I ordered the metal version from Wholsesale Parts, will see what gets here first.

Re: Add Bluetooth or new head unit

The closest Boss units to it in specs are about the same price - but don't have AptX, etc. If that doesn't matter as much or you plan on running wired connections, then it wouldn't matter.

But I stuffed my doors full of deadening and insulation, so AptX and AAC here I come (when not wired) ;-)

Re: Add Bluetooth or new head unit

Since I may be replacing my Pioneer soon - check out the Atoto S8 line of double-DIN receivers on Amazon. I was waiting for the usual stuff on Crutchfield to come down in price but this looks like the way. Several threads on the XTerra and Frontier forums about it. Carplay, Android Auto, and camera ...

Re: B25 Silverton Blue

Automotive Touchup will come out correct when you brush it on, or spray with a large enough nozzle (auto spray gun, or at least 0.50mm air brush needle). The other brands I've tried are slightly off. They label it blue green metallic or something but it dries as B25. They sell everything from pens t...

Re: The ever popular P0430

I think you guys mean Atkinson cycle ;-) It's possible that VVT shifts on the intake side equate to something like the Atkinson cycle, but Nissan doesn't advertise the VQ as an Atkinson cycle engine where they are advertising some of their current offerings as Miller or Atkinson engines. Neither Atk...

Re: The ever popular P0430

It depends how much catalytic material is left. Your cat may just be dirty and have plenty of metal to pass both O2 sensor checks as well as emissions tests. Cataclean and some others work great by the way. My right cat is very dead, the CEL comes on every two or three ignition cycles. I had two dif...
