@bjthegod wrote:I had the same problem

It ended up being the wiring from the rear speed sensor harness to the main harness. The wire was corroded.
Located up around the Left rear wheel well.
Hope that helps.

Welcome!!! :D Some musings....: As for the ad.."Transmission Problems" in an ad mean "needs new transmission but I don't want to say it outright". In theory a truck like that would still be worth the price of its purchase plus a new tranny (especially if u are lucky enough to sou...

I think 150,000 miles on the replacement tranny is not unreasonable :)

The radiator replacement should have been the improved part.
Or are you saying you got SMOD ( fluid mixing via radiator) after the dealer replaced the rad?
Which year did they do the work?

Yes that 5.6L V8 is pretty sweet.

As reliable as a sundial too from what I hear ( not that our standard 4.0L V6 isn't)
Sometimes I flirt with the idea of an upgrade t the V8.. but then fuel bills come to mind.

Sir welcome! Do you have any automatic transmission? If so the first mod I suggest is a replacement of the radiator. the 05-09 (and ot alesser extent 10s) were vulnerable to a condition called SMOD, strawberry milkshake of death. The seals in th factory heat exchanger fom transmission to radiator wo...

I heard` a story about a R51 where somehow the radio stayed on due to a bad "on" buttong and the guy never figured it out and for years had to disconnect his battery.

Until finally his toddler bumped or kicked the Button "just so" and all was fixed.
