'05 XE - 55,000 miles - Bought it in '08with 39,000 on it and got a 100k, 84 month warranty for about $1000. Fuel Sending unit at 45K - a few hundred at least Sway bar linkage at 50K - $100-$200? New transmission and radiator from the dreaded failure at 55K, about $4000. Warranty worth it? You bet y...

The whole job was covered by my extended "Preferred" warranty. For the second car in a row, the warranty has paid for itself and more. However, a warning to others. In my case my extended warranty shows up on a different screen in their computers, so when they start a job, they always say ...

I don't know about Off-Road, but certainly Off-Topic. As far as the down shifting, it has to be just the right conditions. Hill grade, speed, braking... I have a hill I drive all the time that it does it occasionally on. Nothing wrong. I also just got a brand new tranny after the radiator fail and i...

At the dealer right now. THIS tech listened to my description of the problem. Popped the radiator cap and told the service writer it would be an overnight job. New tranny and radiator, here we come!!!!

When my tranny failed, there was no check engine lights that came on. The only way that I knew that something was wrong was the rumble noise and weird shifting/almost slipping at cruising speed at low rpm's. It's all behind me now, fortunately it only cost me $1200, the dealer absorbed the rest of ...

nightstalker 6 - I have been having that rumble strips noise in my transmission for the last three months and could not figure it out. My tranny fluid is dark red, kind of like yours. I noticed that the rumble sound only happened while "cruising", by that I mean 45mph and up at 1200rpms. ...

I had a Sentra before my Pathy and they replaced a wheel bearing to get rid of a clunk, which turned out to be a loose lug nut. Warranty. Awesome.

Unfortunately, the local child protective services frowns on the use of duct tape. I would however ask if I am correct that the airbag is in the seat? The airbag in the seat comes out and give protection to your shoulder and head. So, yes, you would not be able to use seat covers. You might be able...

Don't install seat covers on the front seats. You have air bags in both seats & a seat cover can change the way they deploy in case of an accident. Just put the kids in the 3rd row seats & leave the 2nd row folded down. O my friend if it was only that simple. My wife and I decided to have a...

I agree that it needs to be programmed, which can only be done with Consult II, so dealer may be the only option. You can reprogram remotes yourself, but they have you by the "keychain" when you're talking about the jeys themselves.

The cabin filter is realtively easy to get to, but more than 2 minutes. You basically, take the lower tray out. Then you have to remove a couple screws and the frame of the glove box comes out. You will see a rectangular door (upper right). Though there is a hole for a bolt, there is just a tab that...

Be prepared for some differing answers here, but let me give you my personal 2 cents. I have a K&N, and have noticed no real difference in gas mileage. Still nice to be able to clean it, instead of throwing out and buying a new one, even if it was more expensice intially. I use 87 in mine. I tri...

I'll try to find the source, but I think it's in the service manual. It's in the section for checking the odb codes, without a reader. It worked for my 04 sentra too.
