Anyone have insight into the SM #4 item above which is the handle for the gate? If that has to be removed first then I have no option but to ruin the rear panel as I cannot open the hatch.

I replace my trans fluid once a year and also swap the power steering fluid with Valvoline MaxLife ATF.

I use a turkey baster so siphon most of the fluid out of the PS reservoir and then refill to the appropriate level.

Just wanted to post my info and clarify my above post.

I have the rad ending in ZL11A and have not had the issue at 130k miles. Prod date is 4/10.

Very nice! I did both front and back this year and made a difference as the originals were designed improperly.

Note that I replaced the bushings and bolts, front and back but did not replace the clips. My pn for the rear bolts is 54459-0P03E.

I have a similar issue sometimes on my 2005. I think if you don't have the motor, then they would be the same. I have a 2010 R51 and do not have the impacted radiator. 130k+ miles and no issues. Also, do not have the timing chain whine yet (hopefully wont have it). Recommend keeping an eye open for 2010s too as they are solid.

Can the rear panel be removed without opening the hatch? It looks like the handle may screw into the door some how.

I was hoping to crawl back there, remove the panel and see if it's just the switch.

Use full syn and change every 5-6k miles. Send oil sample to be analyzed and adjust appropriately.

I did seaform in gas tank and oil at 100k miles. And won't do it again before she dies.

I have towed 5-6000 lbs with the V6 and a brake controller. My 2010 is 4WD and handles it well. Note that I normally change trans fluid once a year.
