I put the black Aries bull bar on my 2007 and it looks nice. Went on easy, but on the '07 you have to remove the tow hook.

Best price I could find was $250 at www.autoanything.com.

Re: Reduced Mileage while Towing

Im new to this forum and have an '08 V6 pathfinder as well as a 4300 travel trailer. Welcome, Luke! I've noticed that my fuel mileage while not towing is approx 14 litres/100 KMs (16.8 miles/gallon) -- however, when towing the trailer, it goes to approx 25 litres/100 kms (9.4 miles/gallon). Does th...

Re: AirLift Installation Queston

For those of you who have done the AirLift install, does anyone have photos of how and where you mounted the schrader valve(s)? I'm considering two options, but just wondered how others did it. I put mine here: http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn183/markm866/MyTruck/zModz-AirBags-2.jpg That's the...

Beautiful shots, Steve. Makes me really want to come back out that way again this year. Unfortunately, my 17yo son is going on a volunteer trip to Ecuador for 3 weeks in early July, and August isn't a good time to be in the desert.

Hopefully next year.

Last night was really strange. I was on I80 doing about 70mph and the TPMS light came on. I was like WTF? Since I have a 08 with the dash computer, I went to Info and checked the tire psi. All but one showed 40psi the other was just showing ***. I slowed down thinking I might be having a flat and s...

making a turn will disengage it from 4hi to 2 actually, all you have to do is take your foot off the gas pedal and coast for a couple of seconds. no need to turn, just take the load off the transfer case. Doesn't work for me. Had 6" of snow about 2 weeks ago and had to drive 30mi before roads ...

my tensioner is for crap, it squeals really bad. i bought the extended warranty on it but the dealer wouldn't fix it so im not to sure what to do now. I just turned 36,000 miles on the truck. Mine (timing chains and tensioner) was covered under the powertrain warranty -- I was a little over 59k mil...

I used 6 coats of color paint and 6 coats of clear coat. Is that overkill? I think that's enough to even withstand the harsh, remote conditions encountered in the Alaskan backwoods. ;-) However, with all that paint, I bet you lost 6 cubic inches of passenger space! What color did you go with, and h...

i don't know what kind of write-up your looking for -- there's not much to it. I've got mine mounted just under and to the right of the rearview mirror. The suction cups for the mounts are just far enough under the masked-out part of the windshield to get a good grip, which allows the back of the V1...

My '07 takes forever to disengage. If you switch to 2WD then stop, drive a few inches in reverse, and then go forward again it comes right out. I have to do this on snowy mornings to get out of my driveway (big hill!) to make sure I'm not in 4WD when I get on the highway 1.5-2 miles later.

Hey falcondrgn, None of the bolt-on bumper guards or bull bars provide much in the way of functional protection other than from low-speed encounters with shopping carts. The problem is the brackets needed to clear the front bumper fascia have to extend down and out so much that it's impossible to ma...

Welcome to a fellow NJ'ian. I'm over in Rockaway Twp. Not disconnecting the negative from the battery isn't necessarily a bad thing if you didn't short any wires to each other or ground. I didn't disconnect my ground when I did mine and had no problem. Are you sure you tapped-in to the right wire? W...

Re: Tow Complete!!

Congrat's on a successful mission! I'm hopefully picking-up a donor Jeep Cherokee within the next two weeks to build-up my new project: a 2000 Cherokee Sport. But I think I'll have to rent a full trailer because of the four wheel drive setup. Fortunately, the cherokee only weighs about 3,500 so I st...

i haven't driven with mine in through a winter yet. I suppose that dropping the air pressure to minimum would reduce stiffness.
